yeah me too man. it's been growing on me with each listen. first 4 songs, silent / transparent and it's my tail are fucking awesome. i wish oceansize did more heavy stuff, they do it so well. although oscar acceptance speech is probably my fav so far.

yeah, I saw him last Monday. His voice sounds rather good. He talked about recovering from health problems a few years ago. But now, his voice seems to be in pretty good shape. He's not with Yes though, since they have Benoit David singing for them.

Man, the Ugly Organ was incredible. Burst And Bloom is alright, but I've never been able to get into any other Cursive. I've also been disappointed in everything P.O.S. has done since Ipecac Neat, but I like the Never Better instrumentals a bit more than the normal album.

Yeah, tha'ts a shame. :/ If they toured a month later I'd probably be able to see them somewhere because I'm going to be traveling around Europe for a few weeks. Oh well, I hope the new album will make it to charts here and that'd give some hope for a concert.

I think I might end up liking it more than El Cielo as well, it definitely tops CWA already though. Hopefully dredg will tour Sweden and Finland sometime.

You are going nuts with the new dredg. :D Information has really grown on me since the initial bad quality leak, parts of it remind me of The Canyon Behind Her and the whole song is awesome. Pariah is probably my favorite song right now though, it has attitude. It's hard to even name favorites because the whole album feels so coherent. Cartoon Showroom and Lightswitch weren't that great when I first heard the album but now they've really grown on me. And do the short interludes rock. <3 New dredg is gonna be one of the best albums this year for sure.

CWA was waaaaay more mainstream than Pariah as whole. The new album has a similar approach as El Cielo and while it has a few poppy songs, overall it's far from being as accessible as CWA was. I think it's the chorus in Quotes what makes it sound so mainstream for me (I don't mean this in a bad way). But anyway dredg delivers and that's what matters. :D

And apparently it's Drunk Slide and not Drunk~Slide. Weird tagging.

I listened to the album 3 times at work today but I didn't really see the tracks while I was listening to it so in most cases I don't know which song is which but I'm really liking the new album already. The Pariah is awesome, Drunk~Slide is awesome interlude, Quotes is probably the most mainstream song dredg has made (it reminds me of some song I have heard so much but can't put my finger on what) and it's really good and catchy. The whole album is just so good and varied. You were right that it's not going to be much alike CWA.

Yeah, it's pretty groovy. It's my least favorite of the live songs I have heard but the studio version is better, I like it way more. Still not quite dredg at their best but I'm definitely expecting rest of the album to blow it away. It can't leak soon enough. :(

Maybe, although I'll probably end up liking PT the most as long as they keep up with their streak of good albums. I'm also interested about their new direction because SW already said it's going to be less metal and some rumors stated it's going to have more electronic/industrial feel, maybe even somewhat in vein of NIN. Anyway, I'm excited. I also expect great things of the new Anathema.

You should, it was probably my favorite album last year. That or Watershed. And yeah, this year will be pretty phenomenal. New Porcupine Tree, dredg, Mew, Anathema, K'Naan, Pure Reason Revolution, ISIS, Mastodon, Ephel Duath, Deftones, John Frusciante, Devin Townsend etc. will make sure of that.
