how could a lit class be agonizing!? those are the only classes i truly enjoy (aside from my ethics class this semester). but yeah, it's a pretty great, danceable soundtrack to agony and self-degradation.

SO...I don't think you'll like them...actually, I'm pretty certain you won't...but I feel obliged to mention Daughters' "Hell Songs" to you, as it has completely overcome my top tracks. Listen to it when you are in the mood for something totally weird, eerie, heavy, and bastardized.

In Absentia and Stupid Dream are my favorites. Meaning to listen to Lightbulb Sun a little more soon. I do like airy, mellow psychedelic stuff, so perhaps I'll check out their old "pink floyd worship" stuff.

I never listened to their newest because FoaBP left me underwhelmed and I haven't listened to as much prog lately. Also, the problem is that you need "Salvation" or "Somewhere Along the Highway"...both are drastically better than "Eternal Kingdom" (although I still love that album). I'll get "The Incident" immediately. How is Steven Wilson's newest?

I remember you liking Isis...and if so, you should czech out Cult of Luna...namely the album "Salvation". It stomps all over Isis' best work.

Ah. Pink is win. I will admit I don't like some of the noisier tracks, but for some reason I love the drone side of them (Blackout, Farewell, Just Abandoned My-Self). That said, their collaboration with Japanese noise artist Merzbow (entitled "Rock Dream") is pretty sweet too, but really...noisey...so I don't know how much you would like it. It's worth the download thought, just for the behemoth song that is Feedbacker.

Yes, soilwork certainly does have quite a few albums under their belt. I'd say I definitely prefer their older material to the new, but I'm like that with a lot of bands.

By the way, your impressions of the new AOF were very accurate... It's different, yet probably better than Watch Out! I've enjoyed it quite a bit since I started listening to it.

Ryan. I had no idea you were such an extensive soilwork fan. Which album is your favorite?
