I love doing that..staying up just engulfed in a book. Agreed, dystopian novels make great subject matter. Oh, just been preoccupied with the usual trials & tribulations of everyday life & reading when i can. Probably going to finish Mockingjay today so that should be nice and then onto the next book! What have you been busy with lately? How is the music coming along?

Happy belated Birthday! What books did you get? The Hunger Games is basically about the post-apocalyptic country of Panem (which used to be North America) which is divided into 13 districts. The Capitol of Panem (which controls all districts) is very strict and unfair which caused the 13th district to rebel against them. It was supposedly destroyed in the battle. So to prevent further rebellion and keep the fear alive, the Capitol holds their annual "Hunger Games" in which one boy and one girl (called "Tributes") from each of the remaining districts are put into an "arena" of sorts to fight to the death while everyone back home watches on screen. Only one tribute can be victorious. It's violent but if it weren't..i don't think it would have the same impact. They're oh so addicting. They've decided to make them into movies actually, with the first one to premiere in March 2012. My description above is obviously lacking in detail; there's much more specifics that make it better.

That's great! I agree about the whole passports thing as well. How was your very first traveling experience? To answer your question, i have not been overseas. Quite honestly, the farthest i've "traveled" is no more than 3 hours south of where i reside on the Gold Coast. Oh dear, that's right!..haven't even properly introduced myself. My apologies. Chocolate-covered, peanut butter Ritz sandwiches. (Well, not EXACTLY chocolate, but a candy coating.) They dried on silicone mats, which are easy to clean - but they still drip like crazy. Also, I learned that this chocolate coating, for some bizarre reason, thickens immediately when just a drop of extract is stirred in - so my first batch was really sloppy. That's what I get for experimenting. : P At any rate, I enjoy baking for the family. It's what makes the holidays for me.
