The Darren Hayman I heard the other day had harmonies and a fullish sound. I think. It sounded different anyway, but good, and yet.. I'm not sure if I liked it as much to be honest. I listened to Rad Stewart. I see what you mean! I thought they were good! The singer sounds very similar to the singer in Esiotrot.. a good thing! So I'm off to King Tut's Wah Wah hut in a couple of weeks! I've wanted to go there for years- it's such a great name for a venue. I've never been to Glasgow before. I hope it's nice! I know going in February might not mean that we get to see it at its best, but I'll wrap up! We're seeing Julian Cope, largely cos that's who was on at King Tut's Wah Wah Hut at a time when we could go and when John could organise it to give me tickets to KTWWH for Christmas. But our friendship is stronger than ever! I blame you for being so adventurous and not listening to enough Malkmus. I was Scout just over a year ago at one of those last ever ATP festivals. She was great! I saw her once before that too and she was fantastic then too. We must have other music in common.. have you heard anything recent by Darren Hayman? It seemed a bit of a departure..

I hope it doesn't die. I do like it being here, and it helps me remember which gigs I've been to! It sounds like Dylan has sterling taste, and what's even better, he must be thinking what great taste his dad has!

I'm not sure if I have a preference. Everyone but me thinks it's a girl, but in all it's dream appearances the child is no doubt a boy. As for names, at the moment we're leaning towards Camilla (Milla) and Gaius (Gus) but the later is more likely to change than the former. Dylan's a good name. Do you think people ask folks who name their children Bob, if they were thinking of Dylan at the time (seriously)?

I love the thought of dancing seasons! We've had some waltzing here. It's warmish today, but it's been cool. I'm eagerly anticipating The Last Frost when I can stick baby tomato and pepper plants into the garden. I have tulips and daffodils peaking out, checking out the scene.
