Your compatibility with Megamonization is Very High. You both listen to High on Fire, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Neurosis

Hello there! Great taste, seems you have a favourite go-to genre! Have you listened to the new Converge & Chelease Wolfe album yet? Think you'd like it.

Hi! Do you mean Blood moon? If so then yes, I've listened to it and enjoyed quite a bit! Also what is your profile pic from? looks sick.

That's the one - great album! I like how Converge are experimenting with their sound, but we'll have to see what happens with Bloodmoon II! In the meantime I'll have to find something similar - think Jarboe did a record with Neurosis? I've had it that long I can't remember the original source! I'll have a look and get back to you, but thank you.

I really don't think the Neurosis and Jarboe collab was that great. It's my least favorite Neurosis album besides their early punk stuff. I'd recommend Mariner by Julie Christmas and Cult of Luna. That's one of the best albums of all time IMO.

I'll avoid that and head back to the COL record then - been a while since I last heard it despite being a big fan of the band. Would love to see them live one day.

I saw them live a couple of years ago. Really great show but sadly the crowd was one of the worst I've experienced

The spoken word doesn't bother me much. Personally I think it's a bit dull. That's just my opinion tho. Favorite album of the year is the raging river but I haven't listened to much new stuff again this year xD

Yes! Especially Three Moons and Consumed by Horizons of Fire are great! I think I still prefer their first two albums but this one is great as well!

I know of them and want to listen to something by them but I didn't get the chance to do so yet. What would be a good place to start in your opinion?

I second this. Ritual Fires of Abandonment is excellent.... however The Crash and the Draw by Minsk is one of my favorite albums.

Yeah i listened to it once. I have to say, the first impression isn´t that great :/ but i´ll wait for the album for a real opinion. Did you listen to it? I haven´t had the time to sit down and listen to emmas new song yet but i have seen it. Hahaha, i´m honored that you thought of me :)

I completely agree! The drumming was the part that positively stood out for me as well. The riffs didn´t do anything for me sadly but maybe it just needs a few more listens. We´ll see when the album drops :). I did a lot of catching up on old releases this year so i only listened to a handful of new albums but i really enjoyed the new tesa album! I also listened to emmas new song and i really like it! It's better than most of On Dark Horses in my opinion!

Yes it does but it´s great to see the roots of the genre and discover great music! I might check them out, thanks! Thats a hard question. Cult of Luna, The Ocean, Isis and Neurosis are up there for sure but i don´t know them long enough to call one of them the greatest of all time. Gojira is probably the band i listened to for the longest and still really enjoy from time to time. It changes all the time for me to be honest. What about you?

I think I like the Downward Spiral a little bit more but both are really great. I really want to check out more of their stuff! I do like ambient and some electronic stuff that friends shared with me but i didn´t really get into that yet. I plan to listen to some more tho!

For sure! Damn, now i want to listen to some Cattle Decapitation again xD Do you like Anaal Nathrakh? They scratch the same itch for me. I´m the same. I mostly listen to full albums as opposed to single songs, so concept albums are perfect for me xD Pelagial really is a masterpiece!

Yes, thats indeed nice! I hope so too. Yes i´m really excited about Phanerozoic II! I talked to them back in november after a concert and they told me it will be a slight departure in style from their other stuff. I´ve been really curious for months now xD
