Yeah; in all fairness it's been quite a while since I've listened to their older stuff, so it could just be the fact of not recalling how exactly the originals sound. The guitars are definitely cleaner now that I think about it. But again, I feel like the vocals in those three re-worked songs could still use a little bit of polishing. Aside from all that though, I'd say this new EP is their strongest release thus far, and I'm eager to hear what they can do next.

I think it's a step in the right direction for them after the drastic stylistic change they made a few releases ago. "Take Over" is killer; I have a feeling I'll be rocking out to that one for quite some time. "Hard to Breathe" is a solid track as well. I feel like Ryan's vocals have improved quite a bit as time has gone on. I'm still not completely sold on the re-released songs from The Fire Inside - to be honest I don't notice any significant differences between the initial versions and those on the EP. If I had to give it a score, I'd probably say 3/5. I guess I was just hoping the improvements would have translated across the entire EP, and not just on the two brand new songs. If that makes any sense...

Not too much my man. Thanks for the add. I was listening to Low & Behold earlier this evening and for the heck of it decided to check out who else has been jamming them lately. With them being such a little-known group, it was relatively easy to sift through the "listeners" to find people who also enjoy a lot of the same music that I do. I just started this a little while back and am still working to build my "profile", if you will. Needless to say, I've added quite a few people on here over the past week or so, haha.

I couldn't wait so I had my friend who pre-ordered it send me the songs via email. It's so good. I am hooked on it. I won't be able to get it for another month or so, cause I am planning on pre-ordering The Devil Wears Prada and maybe Oh, Sleeper if I have some money for it. thegodmachine is epic, Phinehas totally blew me away. Never, in my experience, has a band put out such an amazing first album. I am beyond stoked to see what the future holds for these guys. They totally deserve it too.

Wow. I need to buy it asap. Everytime I go to a concert I buy merch, that's what I'm saving for.

So jealous that you have Phinehas' new album. I cannot afford it and whatever money I do have is going towards scream the prayer tour. That being said, I NEED you to tell me just how awesome thegodmachine really is. please?
