Nah. Not heard them. Am digging lots of blues at the mo; [artist]Freddie King[/artist] especially.

I'm fine. Very little to tell. Figured it was time I grew another beard - I hadn't had one for about 8 years.

...and since I'm here, may I say that I'm absolutely beyond excited about the forthcoming box of 1982-87 live shows! Had a couple of those in dubious quality for years, so it's a must have. If only we could get an official release of the BBC recorded Cumbria Rock performance (circa 'Holidays In Eden').

Re: Half Empty Jam... Makes sense. It's really lowered the quality control having that at the beginning of disc 2! First impressions then - I hate one track, feel indifferent to 4 or 5 others, love 4 or 5, and quite like the rest.

Well... It's early days yet, but so far, I'm liking most of what I've heard from 'HITR'. So much better than SWE. I've heard about seven songs so far and the only one which stuck out as 'not sure of that' was 'Nothing Fills a Hole', which was let down by one of those pesky one line choruses. Lyrically, not sure of 'Woke Up' either, but its musically nice. Title track sounds great. Even if I feel indifferent towards some of it in a feww weeks, it can sit happily in my collection with other Marillion albums I don't reach for instantly. So far, though, so good, I think. After having *no* expectations for the album at all, I'm pleasantly surprised.

So far, I've resisted temptation & not downloaded the album. My ears are starting to get hungry for it now though, thanks to all the positive comments about it.

And yeah, The Imagined Village is great - only found out about it through the BBC's Glasto coverage, but it's one of my favourite albums in ages.

Well, the only way we're getting onto the property ladder is if things take a bit of a turn like they did about 15 years ago and we end up getting a mortgage for about the same price a month that our rent is currently costing. It'd be bad for the economy as a whole, but there you go. Katy would rather like to move to Leigh on Sea...

Nah. Sadly, all the while Kate's self employed and our town at large is indifferent about coffee, this'll be our situation for a while. Eventually though we're hoping all will turn in our favour. We'd really like to get out of this pokey flat and on to the property ladder. One day we'll manage it.

Thee is fine. Skint, but fine. I got a free bus pass the other day, so that'll cheer things up... In case you hadn't ever spotted it, Hogarth Ave is just on the outskirts of Brentwood. I'm on the lookout for a Rothery Street - there must be one somewhere! (The whole of Moonloop and its coda in one sitting? You brave man.)

Zooey? At the vine? Am I being called for specifically? I really oughta check my email inbox from time to time?
