For anyone looking for recommendations - Vektor, Xoth, Cryptosis (Distillator), Dissimulator, and obviously old Revocation (2012 and earlier).

I wish this subgenre had developed a little more and gotten more fleshed out. We have more technical death metal bands than anyone could reasonably expect to listen to, but technical thrash remains a rarity.

Probably the finest reason to like thrash metal. I never enjoyed fully this genre, but technical one.. maan, this is totally different feeling.

Watchtower, Revocation and Toxik are the kings of technical thrash metal.

The first Meshuggah album was Thrash metal, no doubt it was Prog thrash at that. But the rest certainly wasn't.

Meshuggah were Tech Thrash at the very beggining, on their debut album, that's all. But that's not something definitive to tag a group. That's the same as I tag Pantera as some kind of Heavy Metal with glimpses of Glam, only because of their first four albums.

Listen to Contradictions Collapse, a masterpiece of tech/prog Thrahs metal in my oppinion, however, I understand the complaints about meshuggah, Since their second album they can't be considered a thrash metal bandhave nothing to do with thrash metal except some influences.

Some bands in here like Kreator may have only released one or two 'technical' albums, and I have no problem with bands being here that have actually released technical albums. But isn't the idea of pages like this to help people find more music suited to their taste? I doubt somebody who is really into Toxik and Realm for example will appreciate bands like Meshuggah and... wait... what? Trivium? Really?...

How is technical thrash metal differentiated from progressive metal? I'm listening to Sadus right now and to my ear... this is straight up prog (a GOOD thing). And.... Meshuggah is thrash??? They're not thrashy at ALL! Who writes this stuff? :)
