love ecm!

Often excellent music, especially their contemporary European jazz. However, they are quite "safe" and never delve too much into dissonance which can be yay or nay depending on one's mood. Amazing recordings though

Came across this label in 1985 and for many years whenever I wanted to listen to new music, riffled through the record store looking for something on the label. In 1994 catalog they gave me the store's ECM catalog and I used that for dipping into and ordering new material.
