No, you need historical context or else you have people saying stupid shit like "It's good but the boys really start cooking in '66." Frankly, they never topped this song until the release of Strawberry Fields Forever

Disallowing curiosity of historical context is kind of stupid, I agree, but what I don't see as stupid is stating a preference, one such being the Beatles' quality improved in 66. People overhype when considering context, sometimes. Which partially or even completely disengages one from one's genuine preferences.
