You aren't Ataroth, I agree. I liked the line up anyway. I think it had the right amount of everything. CARCASS, Amon Amarth and Satyricon were fucking awesome :D

That was an awesome weekend... Kreator was freaking amazing! In general "Metalheads" are open minded people, i mean Bloodstock promotes all types of metal/rock genres... and there was some people who had a chav attitude, why chuck stuff at performers or anyone for that matter, how doe's that make the rest of us look... i'll be surprised if bands will want to play bloodstock in the future after, some mindless idiots destroy the whole atmosphere and camaraderie. I don't understand why watch something you don't like? I don't like Blind Guardian so i didn't watch them... simple anyway all in all apart from some goons! It was an awesome weekend met some really cool open minded people and thrashed out like a mother-f*cker!!

My mate told a guy where to go when he got his red paint near him - it wasn't even during Turisas. He said "this jacket cost forty fucking quid, don't go anywhere near it." The guy's face dropped in an instant. I felt kinda bad for him but I couldn't help but laugh.

Slit_your_guts all I was trying to say is that metal is in a much fitter state than it was in 2004. And I don't know why you feel the need to relate with someone any more than "wearing the same t shirt as the next guy and buying them a drink." You sound like you had a bad experience with meeting people there, which is weird as everyone I met was nice.

I've been to festival's in a load of different country's, Germany especially, and I have to say there are more morons in the UK than anywhere else. I had at least 3-4 groups of random twats with costumes (meant to be funny I presume?) coming up to me "lol r u gunnA botl cradl ov filf lol", just ignored them each time. I'd actually put money on half the people bottling Cof liked them no more than a year ago, but found out it was cool to dislike them.

True... at Graspop if people don't like a band, they don't watch them! I can definutely vouch for that. I've always had that attitude... why waste your time listening to a band you don't like? I spent the Cradle set at the campsite drinking Jager and getting stoned.

I can't speak for every year, but the worst I've seen was half-empty plastic bottles or cups being thrown at Wacken. I never saw anything even like that at Graspop. And in places like Germany and Belgium the metal scene is huge, and you still don't get anywhere near the same problems as here. No, I'm afraid it really is a 'new scene' thing.

Generally speaking 'metalheads' seem to be a good, friendly bunch. And the lancaster stage proves that sort of metal community feel. But some dicks just have to ruin it. You dont like a band. Tough dont see them then? Its stuff like that that gives others the impression that we're all a bunch of violent wankers.

Ataroth
Haven't been to any gigs abroad at all yet so dont really know, has no one ever being bottled at Wacken/Hellfest/other big euro festival? As for the comment about the "scene" today, as far as I can tell its a lot bigger now and with that will obviously come more trouble and dickheads, that doesnt mean its technically worse though.

"wasn't it a little bit deep to pelt one of them with something that could be FATAL if aimed properly? Seeing as there was an actual stage there dedicated to "one of us" who got KILLED?" So true. So fucking true.

I know we went to a metal (not extreme metal, don't make me laugh mate) festival with 10, 000 attendees, so what? that doesn't mean we were all holding hands, dancing and rubbing eachothers fucking backs does it? Well, not for people who think there's more to relating with someone than them wearing the same t shirt as the next guy and buying them a drink. and for the record, i was into so called "real metal" years before i ever heard a korn song...don't talk to me about old school, i know it was better "back in the day", thats why i said "the scene today is in a fucking awful state".

All i'll say is this..I think Cradle of Filth are a fucking joke but wasn't it a little bit deep to pelt one of them with something that could be FATAL if aimed properly? Seeing as there was an actual stage there dedicated to "one of us" who got KILLED? The "scene" today is in a fucking awful state and that just proved it further...i mean lets say it dashed the guy across the back of the head and put him in a lethal coma? What then ( i know it didn't but just think)? is that cool and awesome and metal? to mindlessly assault people? exactly like the fucking worthless animals who killed that girl? Or are the majority of you just worthless animals too?

Also the fact that the people who were throwing shit wouldn't have the balls to do it at a headlining show -_- I can understand why people don't like Cradle but British "Metalheads" as Ash_1065 can be such knobheads when it comes to bands they don't like. It's just sad & pathetic at the end of the day, why couldn't they have gone back to their tents & just got drunk & had fun instead of ruining it for people?

Rooster____: Get over it? When will there be a right time to discuss how turds chucking stuff at concerts ruin it for everyone? When someone dies as a result? I agree with Ash_1065... I've only ever seen this behaviour in Britain. Sure I've been to festivals in Europe where people chuck plastic bottles or cups, and it's annoying, but it's not dangerous like throwing full beer cans or catapulting gobstoppers at people. It's not funny and it is a big deal. The more people who see just how stupid and dangerous it is, the better. Maybe it might make people think twice before they throw shit at gigs.
