An evening celebrating the musical genius of American songwriter David Crosby, erstwhile member of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, who passed away last year.
Artists including Mike Scott, Liam Ó Maonlaí, Kris Drever and The Staves will come together for the first ever live performance of David Crosby’s ‘lost' solo 1971 album If I Could Only Remember My Name, accompanied by a selection of his music with the Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
Although the album received a mixed reception at the time of release, it has now become a firm cult classic with music connoisseurs. The psychedelic folk recording If I Could Only Remember My Name was recorded at a time when Crosby was going through some personal challenges, and he gathered a stellar line-up of friends and cohorts including Joni Mitchell, Gerry Garcia and Neil Young who sing harmonies and play guitar on the tracks.
