Melanie Martinez : The K-12 Tour

Melanie Martinez has confirmed details of an upcoming UK headline tour in support of her forthcoming sophomore studio album, K-12, due for release on 6 September 2019. Alongside the release, A short film – directed and starring Martinez, also entitled K-12 – is due to drop on the same day as the new album.

K-12 is the follow up to the musician’s 2015 debut LP Cry Baby. Certified platinum in the US, Cry Baby spawned the singles Pity Party, Soap and Sippy Cup. The album also received critical acclaim, with Spin naming the record as one of their 25 Best Pop Albums of 2015.

The New York-born artist first came to prominence in 2012 after appearing on the third season of the American version of the TV talent show The Voice where she was coached by Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine. The musician later signed with Atlantic Records 2014, releasing her debut album the following year.

The last time Melanie Martinez came to the UK, she performed a sold-out show at London’s Eventim Apollo. The musician will return to these shores later this year, for a run of headline dates in support of her new album K-12.
