Following his successful appearance with a symphony orchestra last season, Brad Mehldau returns with his trusty trio. Around the turn of the century, together with his regular band members he recorded a series of albums under the title The Art of the Trio. A personnel change on drums didn’t do any damage to the trio’s status, which still ranks as one of the world's most successful and innovative jazz trios since the celebrated threesome led by Bill Evans.
