Hello Maddie! I hope that you’re fine and that everything goes well for you! I’m really sorry to bother you here, on your personal page, but as last.fm is all about music and considering the quality of your tastes, I thought you would enjoy to discover my band, [artist]Angellore[/artist]. We play atmospheric doom metal inspired by Draconian, Saturnus, My Dying Bride, etc. We just released our first album, “Errances”, that you can already order directly from us. Here is a link to listen to a song of our dear album: [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEHyfEhUAaY]I Am the Agony[/url]. We would be honoured to read back from you and get your honest opinion, and I sincerely mean that. All the best! Walran [Angellore]

Well that was decades ago haha! I had a tornado go through my neighborhood about 10 years ago. Missed my house by about 500 feet.

Yeah I really don't like living in Ohio that much but it has its perks. It never gets too hot for too long and same with the cold. There's no natural disasters that happen anywhere close to us. It always felt like there was nothing to do though so I guess it is a bit boring here.

Yeah the Rock Hall is pretty cool. I wish Cleveland was nicer in general cause its a pretty fun city to be downtown for concerts and sporting events. They're working on revitalizing it but I'll probably move.

Cleveland is normally really nice in May, June, and September. Otherwise its either too hot or too cold. Except October and November were so warm this year it was an extra long September basically haha. Why did you visit here?

I live near Cleveland. Our weather is up and down some days itll be in the 40s and the next there will be snow and in the 20s and it just goes back and forth for 3-4 months.

I have relatives that live in Arlington. I can recall on several occasions making fun of them for having more snow than us at points in the season. We get lake effect snow all winter though until the lake freezes over and lately it hasn't froze over.

It actually started snowing for the first time in like 2 weeks right now. I'll definitely take it cause last year was snow and ice storm constantly like there was always ice and it sucks clearing 2 inches of solid ice off a car. Also there was a point when my car was stuck in the parking lot for days becuase it was on a hill and I couldn't back off the ice haha.

I've been alright lately! Its winter and winter is Ohio is a very boring and dreary affair. Everything I like to do is outside so winter feels pretty confining although it basically literally just got here for us its been so abnormally warm this year. I think we've gotten like 15 inches of snow only and in recent years we've had well over a 100 so I guess thats a good thing. How are you?

Well you can look at it that way but employers won't. Lets put it this way: if you major in Spanish you know how to speak the language. Your main job would be teaching. However lets say you major in business, or anything else in that manner. With high school Spanish and then 4 years in college you should be able to speak fluently. So with that you come out of school with the ability to speak Spanish with another major. So employers are definitely gonna hire that person over the Spanish major.

You can't really do anything with English. Overall it can help with things like writing and what not. Realistically there are no specific jobs besides teaching that English will help in. At least its not as bad as majoring in Spanish.

My major is geography now it used to be English cause I didn't know what I wanted to do but English is worthless as a major.

At least you know what you want to do in college...I have to do an entire extra year from changing my major after the second year.

When you say music student do you mean like majoring in a music oriented major in college?

I feel like Liv Kristine's voice is still kinda transparent. Christina's voice definitely has more strength to it I mean her voice is almost a bit scary (nothing is as scary as Angela Gossow of Arch Enemy but thats screaming not singing). I also don't like it when like Tarja gets real operay and Simone will do it sometimes. They choose to be more symphonic metal oriented still rather than WT which really took a more mainstream rock sound that actually worked out really well. Sharon's voice has also improved so much with every album.

I will admit though that you do have the right symphonic bands picked out. If you had to give them grades you have like the A bands haha. Some of those B and C bands don't have really strong vocalists. That's the problem with being a female vocalist that if you're an alto you can get some pretty wispy and thin songs which aren't very appealing. Also the music sometimes gets so generic...basically tune guitars down to drop D and play power chords. I'm so happy for the giant leaps Epica, WT, and Nightwish make with every album because it never becomes stale.

Well I feel like I'd be betraying something or other by not listening to all my old stuff (well not all some of it I felt I outgrew). I used to be so close minded I would tell other people their music sucked and what I listened to was so much better for some reason. I'm glad I really got to open up my taste and see different sides of music. However techno, anything with auto-tune, and some rap can hardly be qualified as music. I won't condemn anyones taste but I will go so far as to say that some things shouldn't be worthy of being called music. So many good bands and artists go without much recognition and its so sad to see.

Yeah I can definitely relate to that. Its funny how musical tastes progresses. I started off with classic rock like Zeppelin which progressed to 90s grunge bands like Soundgarden (hence my name) and then progressive to hard rock to full blown metal (not something I'm proud of since most of that screaming nonsense is rubbish). Then I found Nightwish and it kinda sprang from there. I didn't even listen to female artists before I found symphonic metal and that opened up so much more for me as you can tell by my top artists haha.

Well yea she's definitely not ugly or anything and at least her face isn't super chiseled like Tarja's hahahahaa. One question though...how does Marilyn Manson fit in with all those other top artists?
Azioni
-
SoundgardenmadA
She looks kinda frightening sometimes. I couldn't really tell from the Dark Passion Play stuff is she was attractive or not but without make up shes pretty average...and with the right make up looks a little scary like in Storytime. But then again its hard to be almost 40 and not be Sharon den Adel.
