Cheers for the recommendations. I'm very familiar with Agalloch, Head Control System and Unexpect - all three are awesome. I'll check out the others as soon as I can. You should also definitely check out Ocean Machine - Biomech (I think it is released under the Devin Townsend Band now), Heartwork by Carcass, Moontower by Dan Swäno, and Crimson by Edge of Sanity. The latter two you'll particularly enjoy, given your tastes.
