avoiding last year's mistake of telling you all the songs i liked, even if they'd come out 40 years ago, i will finally give you an accurate song of the year list: - gracie abram's story of us album was great. my fav songs were risk and that's so true - hana eid's EP is sooo good, such a great indie record with incredible writing. i'm her #1 fan i think. austin song and between your teeth are incredible, so angsty and powerful. similarly, i loved shot by hannah cole and jessie by jake minch. - of course, i loved TTPD -- guilty as sin and the alchemy are so fun to listen to. - finally, lola young's messy was great! what about you?!

Can I say - red is one of my most listened to albums of all time - but I don’t listen to it as often since I got a last fm two years ago. I love every song, I know every lyric! One of my first CDs I had in my car as I learned to drive for the first time, so I know it well. I guess I just don’t listen to it as much anymore, which i regret. Thank you for reminding me of its brilliance. Red and speak now were always my faves, until folklore evermore came out. You have taste clearly!!

me too!! on red and speak now being my favorites. folkmore, evermore, midnights, and ttpd kind of have a recency bias for me rn and are my favs but those two were always my favorite albums of hers since i was a kid. red was one of the first albums i had too! my best friend had it on her ipod so we'd listen to it all the time, along with ed sheeran's +. what are your favorite songs from those albums? did folklore bring you back to taylor or did you always remain a fan?

i'm loving it! i had predicted that it would be a midnights/folkmore mix and im so happy i was right as those are 3 of my favorite of her albums--she improves so much with every album i'm always impressed. "but daddy i love him" is such a fun track and i love "the smallest man who ever lived" (i am a sucker for her angry songs). i'm not crazy about a lot of the anthology tracks so far but i'm certain as i listen more some will jump out to me. what are your thoughts? what are your standout tracks? (besides "i can do it with a broken heart," haha.)

yess!! another this is me trying lover!! ik you can't count vinyl and youtube on stats.fm, but if you want to count them on last.fm there's a website called vinyl scrobbler, and a chrome extension for scrobbling youtube called web scrobbler :) i love your top 1975 songs too! roadkill is so underrated i feel

ok ur so right actually I literally use open scrobble vinyl so idk why I said that lol. do u ever scrobble radio or more casual listens with friends? admittedly I’ve done that before but it’s kinda psycho and might drive me insane to scrobble every time I hear a song, at a bar or something

If I’m with either of my sisters and they play music for a while I sometimes use universal scrobbler to steal their scrobbles because they both use last.fm but besides that, no, I don’t worry about it too much. I think if you tried to scrobble every song around you you’d def go crazy! I try my best to avoid getting too caught up about numbers/complete accuracy because I have previously caught myself listening to some things just to pad/change my numbers! Now I’m feeling vulnerable admitting that; I don’t do it anymore! Hahah. Do you ever get that feeling of obsessiveness when it comes to tracking?
