I've never really got into Lush, but I've only really heard that ladykillers song. I love Ride. Really annoyed that I missed Mark Gardener, I was in Canada when he came here. Nooooooo! I wanted to go to Battles so badly! But I decided not to go because I had a lot of shows coming up this month. How was it?! I'm too excited for the Meshuggah show next week hahaha... Well, if you want to get into some more Justin Broadrick stuff, you could check out Techno Animal, Final (especially 3) and The Sidewinder. You could also get Godflesh's "Us and Them" :) His discography is massive and, for the most part, flawless. But I might be biased hahaha... Yeah, I'm going to the Michael Rother show too :D Say hi if you see me!

Severed Heads are really good, I would love to see them too, but it's too expensive :( $90 + booking fees? Pfffft, that's way too much. Every show at the Forum seems to be way overpriced. It's an awesome venue, but c'mon... I didn't realize you had so many Engineers plays. They're awesome, I love them <3 Especially the first album. "Thrasher" HAS to be one of the best shoegaze songs ever written.

I'm quite in a agreement with you on the Warm Ghost and late era Talk Talk comparison. I thought the same thing when I first listened to their ep. Quite good. Indeed "Resignation Rights" is a thing of beauty. Swirling walls of sound and synths. Addicted to that track at the moment.

You are so right. It's relentless. Interesting album though - hovers between that lolly sweet pop and (surprisingly good) atmospheric electronic jams. Did you catch that Anton Corbijn doco on teevee? Loads of Depeche Mode images and interviews.
