those layers all at once. theres 8 layers just for drums. haha i know what you mean, as that is what i was going for, the whole kind of counter acting contexts, pleasant music with not so pleasant lyrics, i'm glad you got it, lets me know i'm doing my job right! i definitely agree i could use some more confidence with it. that is my main objective at the minute, keep making tracks until i gain more confidence, and become more comfortable with my own voice. i know what you mean about the whole not really being able to pay attention to the lyrical content, its because every single line is held as i can't really seem to write any melodic patterns that don't do that. its all one big learning curve really man! that sarangi has an amazing sound, i'd love one of them. i did another pretty crazy track http://soundcloud.com/jokers-are-wild/jovian wrote a really weird story to it.

i think at the most it was about 15-20 layers. some of those are just double tracked things... reverb is amazing for making things sound bigger, wider, and with more space around them. that sarangi is awesome, looks like an oriental violing, i bet it makes interesting sounds. thank you very much for the kind words. did you have a read of the lyrics? i'm struggling to write i guess good lyrics, it seems the only i can do is satirical ponderings

aah i see! since i finished uni i've had alot more time to make tracks, made some really post rocky stuff on a very hungover day with a bunch of my friends in the uni studios, used ridiculous ammounts of awesome equipment, will upload that at some point and send it across. check on my soundcloud as it goes uploaded another track called correspondence, currently in the process of doing a little animated video for it (well my mate is doing it, and i'm sitting there saying "i like that" or alternatively "i don't like that") i'm glad you enjoy those two tracks :) those are the first ones with my new guitar! bought it from the 'this town needs guns' bassist. don't know if you've listened to them before? but i've been fine buddy, working hard, playing hard. how have you been?

its got, 3 clean guitar tracks, and 4 distortion guitar tracks, then 2 bass tracks (i split the bass tracks so i could have one solely for the low tones and one solely for the high tones then mix them totally differently). then there are 6 drum tracks they were on one midi track but you can solo each different drum on the EZdrummer mixer and then export it so you end up with the 6 seperate audio drum tracks (you can split them more finely but theres not much point as it doesn't need gating or heavily e.qing)

i'm really glad you like it buddy! do you recon i've achieved getting rid of the EITS label with that one? haha that is really funny, tim and eric are gospel! what do you mean by how many different tracks does it contain? as in how many tracks i layered up in production or how many different tracks did i mashed together? if thats the case it was meant as one but all my tracks end up being mis-mashes of lots of different genres by the end of it.

that's a fair point :) i appreciate the criticism. i've been trying to go for a bit of a variation so i try work out what is my forté, so i guess the more slow ambient route? although i'll probably do one really heavy track just to get it out of my system
