Lots of New Zealandia here - I like it! Nice to meet you :)

Thanks for the request and for joining the YMT group!

Hi. I made an mp3 compilation of my last.fm friends' number one tracks, including yours. You can read about it and download it here: http://popouttracks.blogspot.com/

Oh, so they are! Some of their stuff I like and some not; but should be a fun gig. If I can overcome unprecedented levels of snow and general laziness I'll be there! Tip: check out Northern Portrait all the way from Copenhagen - very nice new album on Matinee Not been playing much on here lately?

Hello, Last.fm friend. Your taste in music interests me (or else you wouldn't be my Last.fm friend). I have learned from you and would like to share a few things. I have a new music blog where I upload sonic gems I have found over the years. I call it Popout Tracks. I hope you'll check it out from time to time and download some tunez. http://popouttracks.blogspot.com/ Best, jessesamuel

Well, you had at least one UK listener for about twenty-five minutes this morning; I tuned in while having my breakfast. Among other things I heard Love, Aztec Camera, Robyn Hitchcock and your various attempts to play 'The Wrong Road' by The Go-Betweens. Most entertaining.

Managed to drag myself out of bed about 10:30 so listening right now :) See wouldn't have known about a new Bats album & European tour otherwise!

Only because we're super

haha, no not at all. I guess that's about 10am-12am my time. I'll try to tune in :)

Thanks for the data! :-)

crappy shift, yikes!

You too darling! You trip me up! :-)

Hello!, Thanks for accept my invitation. Wonderful stuff here! 100% compatibility!. Greetings from Argentina. :-D

Thank you. He says he likes you too...

No - really. It is.

Great top five!

If that self-portrait is accurate then you look remarkably like these twins that go to my school... Uncanny

It's been too long since I've scrobbled, or said hello, or anything. But I'll send you some music soon, whatever happens!

I can see why you popped up on my neighbours list !

why? what would happen if everyone knew what you did for a living? i did some customer service myself years ago. hated it - but i learned how to be nice to people i didn't like.

what's your job? why do you hear (not really) hilarious things there?

how about this: a happy hardcore version of lou reed's perfect day?

it's nearly impossible to screw up that (bridge?) part - see the lawman beating up the wrong guy.

hmmm... listening again for any glimmer of hipness

Yeah - not good.

Sensational top artists overall... kinda scary when people have the same record collections/ favourites, eh?

http://tmbw.net/wiki/Shows/1996-12-29. Fun memories there. Ah, Goatboy, how you sucked... Also, I apparently have only missed 1 TMBG Buffalo show . 2 if you count the radio appearance. :P

No worries! I'm the same way, mainly because I grew up in the backwoods and learned most of my vocabulary from books. Twelve years of hanging out with smart urban types have corrected that a little bit, but I still mess up all the time.

The story behind my alias is probably just as involved as the one behind yours, and there's no official pronunciation, so there's no way you could get it wrong!

Am (finally) listening now ... thanks for the sort-of shout-out! I'm liking it so far (especially this June Brides track) but I think the streaming audio ate the treble. If you get around to posting a better-quality recording somewhere please let me know. Ouest is basically pronounced west.

So wanna go hop a plane and go see the Brunettes again somewhere? :)

Got it -- I was recording from 2 through 7 so I should have your whole show. I probably won't get to listen to you until I'm at work on Monday, though.

hee...indeed i can't play guitar either...and i'm too old for air guitar...oh well! ah thanks, yes i think we don't sit too high on the ol' suck-o-meter...i'm glad you liked the sounds! no rush on the soulseek...life can be pooping...but if you do...treats abound!

I assume you've seen the Flying Nun documentary on YouTube? If not: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=sjUDemQFznA

Thanks! You have some excellent charts there too. You'd probably like the Pop Tarts, actually, given all the other NZ stuff you like. I've never heard of Pop Art and they seem pretty hard to find ... are they worth looking for?

The Pop Tarts are Kiwi-fronted German noise-twee. Would those be the ones you're thinking of?

Yes, and that's a great track too. Hurrah for iTunes random play. Say hello if you ever get on SoulSeek (same name - I'm nothing if not consistent)

ya, if you jump into the ol' soulseek i'll plonk that stuff up for you...but like i said there about 5 tracks each...still interesting though! i agree with your 'lying in state' brilliant tag... i was obsessed with that tune for about two weeks (my usual obsession schedule in action...), mmm not sure why but it's a keeper!

the tastiest of the demos are some liberty belle (my favourite!) and some i think they released as an ad on with 16 lovers lane...neither of these have heaps of tunes but they're pretty good! so if ya want them... mmm, i think it was the rainy day comp that first grabbed my paisley attention, and my ungoldy love of the byrds...not that they ended up sounding like em! yes the go-be: a good band

That Zurich set is superb quality. And sounds like a great gig too. Thanks!

hee yes squidhunter indeed... well through the myspace 'occupation' anyway... it was the rain parade listening that caused me to see who else was feeling all paisley underground... hmmm, if you were soulseeking i'd pass on some gobetweens demos!

You must be up rather late; I am having my breakfast.

i dropped in the request cause: 1. all that clean + bats + gobetweens. 2. being a squidhunter is my pretend occupation (seriously).

:]

great taste.
