have you heard about new Nils Frahm project? He invited his fans to “rework” tracks from this last album Screw. You can listen to the all reworked pieces http://reworked.nilsfrahm.com/ Maybe you find there something interesting for you, for example you can find there version of “Re” by Helios. My favorite one is "Si" by polish guy Patryk_t http://reworked.nilsfrahm.com/rework/SI/si-patryk_t

hey, sorry for the late response! recently I did not have time to researching new music release, even I checked something it never get my attention for longer time. maybe I am bored of all these new release, when I lam listening something it sounds similar to music I heard before. That's way I going back to my all the time favorites bands rather discover new one. Recently I re-fall in love with this song;)

thanks! gonna check it out. :)

You should definitely try [album artist=Nils Frahm]Felt[/album]. It was album that introduced me to Nils music. it's so intimate and hushed music that you can practically hear his breath. when you are listening this music through headphones its subtle tenderness for your ears. You should also try this [album artist=Oliveray]Wonders[/album] is a collaboration between Peter Broderick and Nils Frahm

thank you, gonna listen Greg Haines for sure. so far never been disappointed by your recommendations:) but as for now, I am completely enchanted by Nils Frahm and his music. especially after seeing him perform on Monday.

thanks! now it really starts hear ;) its something more than just a website, it’s also more than just an album. i think it's great great way to promote new album.

Hi, have you already heard it? ;)

hey, sorry for little delay. thank for sharing with me this list. like some kind of summary in music. good way for finding new music and especially music recommended by Hammock is worth checking. there is some stuff i actually know but also a lot of new music. so definitely gonna come across this list and check this artist. I like BVDUB & Ian Hawgood... so space,multi-dimensional, endless sounds... but have to give them more listen;) recently i totally fall in love with Nils Frahm and his melancholic, soft piano music. when it comes about summary what was your best album or music discovery in last year?

of course I know:) but only listened one album "War Stories", like especially Broken and Morning Rage and obviously Rabbit in You Headlights is my favourite. video to this song is amazing. hmm I will let you know if I find something similar. I wish you all the best for New Year and a great time enjoying the music!

http://www.lastfm.pl/music/Jacaszek/Glimmer You should also try this. it's "...some fragile beauty glimmering behind the veil of reality".

I heard about these band but never listen to them. now I give them chance and after first listening I can say that I like this mixture of jazz and postrock. it's very sort of atmospheric and emotion in their songs... loving to build a home:) and my recommendation for you will be new Jónsi material, soundtrack for the forthcoming cameron crowe movie “we bought a zoo“. http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/exclusive-stream-jonsis-we-bought-a-zoo-soundtrack-20111207 enjoy:)

hey, when it comes to remix album, I always approach with caution. but when I saw The American Dollar responsible for one of the remixes thought that i must check it out. and after listening to the full album I think that Amanda Rogers's remix of Simone is probably my favorite track, and is probably the only track that is comparable to the original... yes, music has a large part in creating atmosphere in films, few of my favourite soundtracks are: Requiem for a Dream, FIinding Neverland, Lost In Translation.

what album of Arms And Sleepers are you listening to? didin't know that they released a remixes album. like this piano ambience in Kites and going this way you should listen to new Sigur Rós also piano-led track Lúppulagið. now i still listen to this track on repeat, something desolately beautiful.

I know Eluvium and like this artist. my favourite album is Similes and totally love The Motion Makes Me Last, you can just lost in this sound, video is also something beautiful http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvAHrrtJgKc. I also like Copia, like this kind of ambient-based piano sounds and my favourite from this abum is Prelude for Time Feelers. Thanks so much for French Teen Idol recommendation, it's one of those songs that build up through the song and give you goosebumps by the end :) and I love it! I found Alfheimr music on gogoyoko portal, there is a lot of good music, especially from Iceland.

thanks for all this recommendation. I like them, but I feel I need to give them more listening before fully appreciating those tracks. especially Bitcrush sounds great to me. I like when musicians experimenting with different styles. have you heard new Hammock song Sinking Inside Yourself from their upcoming album? something amazing... and my recos for you come from Iceland, both are rather background music. first is http://www.lastfm.pl/music/%C3%81lfheimr and the second one http://www.lastfm.pl/music/Parachutes. enjoy listening!

wow so much new recommendation. thanks a lot! never too much good music. definitely gonna check this out. hmm when you are still looking for ambient stuff i recommend you my last discovery http://www.lastfm.pl/music/36/Hypersona what is your favourite Hammock album? because i I started listening to their music with Chasing After Shadows...Living with the Ghosts , and instantly fell in love with their sound.:)

hey and thanks for recommendation!!! I love this kind of dreamy, melancholic atmosphere in music. seems to fit my mood a lot. perfect sound for night time. this style of music, especially track "Borrowing The Past" reminds me of Jónsi & Alex.:) If you don't know their music, then you should try it.
