Listen to Promise of Love & The Golden Band next by The American Analog Set. Know By Heart was what initially attracted me to them too, but I think you'll find that the others have a bit more to offer over time. Happy listening.

Promenade is considered his best album by many fans, personally I'd say go with absent friends or promenade if you liked A short album.. :)

I agree with Osilu, you can't go wrong with Divine Comedy. Victory For The Comic Muse is a good choice, or the last album Band Goes The Knighthood, that as a nice chamber music feel to it. Or Casanova if you want a slightly more rock sound.

Saw your shout at the Divine Comedy page, I recommend that you proceed with Absent Friends or Victory For The Comic Muse, those are my favourite albums though I love all of the things that Neil Hannon do, he can't do no wrong in my book.

Different. Not totally unexpected, considering the group’s recent collaborations with bands people like Modeselektor, Flying Lotus etc. but still fresh. If you liked Amnesiac or Kid A this will be your album. It kind of misses some great singles (there is no Everything in it’s Right Place, no Idioteque, no Pyramid Song). Probably not the masterpiece I was seeking, but still a very beautiful album. It keeps on growing and I’m liking it more and more every day. What do you think? Have you got your copy? If not I can send you one…

well, thanks. the movie is actually italian, but not a fellini movie. it's the kind of movie that either you love either you hate from the bottom of your heart: maybe too psychological, maybe to depressing, maybe too deep - personally its one of my favourite movies from one of my favoutire directors: it's La Notte by Michelangelo Antonioni (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4vpgYkte1i8), (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054130/). let me know if you like it.
