Yeah, they do dig some noise. ^^ I don't think it's weird though if you like alternative music and don't listen to them. Well, mostly the "pretentious" part - as much as I love him - is there because of Thom Yorke. And maybe because of Jonny Greenwood, but he's just so nerdy that I think it's ok.

There's no such thing as perfect anyway. :P

I always thought of Radiohead as a band that you cannot get excited about. That they were some kind of pretentious soulless band. I was actually really mean. ^^ But as soon as I actually bothered to listen to them, I discovered that they were "just" a band that loves music. (I mean... I hardly have that with bands. Usually they're just the NME's flavour of the month, seasonal stuff.) I have always liked Travis though. It's hard not to like them. I don't think it's fair that people give them the same treatment as they do with Donovan or... yes, The Monkees. Because if you say that The Monkees are a band you love, people will point the finger at you. Funnily enough, The Monkees to me seem a more genuine band compared to all that US "alternative punk".

I've been planning to get into Sonic Youth for quite a while. It seems odd to me that some people (who I know personally) just "happen to have Sonic Youth on their computer". You don't just listen to Sonic Youth. They're not Justin Bieber or some other pop phenomenon. So... it's hard for me to relate to that. I'm a bit bored by music at the moment, so I am looking for more... Which album/s of theirs do you prefer, personally?

Take That have gained entry into my charts quite recently. I think... around June last year. It's a way of getting rid of some of my music snobbery. Robbie Williams though has been around for a long time. On here and in my life as well. He was one of my first interests in music. Even though I was aware of his faults and flaws, I could still enjoy his music from time to time. At the moment I am not too bothered by that anyway, I am much too busy obsessing over Thomas Newman. And The Innocents, occasionally.

Taip, kievienas muziką įvertina pagal savo suvokimo filtrus. Gera/bloga muzika - čia subjektyvus dalykas. Man patinka vienokia muzika - puiku, tau patinka kitoka - irgi puiku :)

Kerbedis yra nuostabaus ir galingo balso savininkas ir dainų turi tikrai gerų :) O iš Sipavičiaus teklausau tik vieną dainą Diskoteka, pagal kurią galima gerai patrypti :D
