What do you make of the new beach house record so far? for me its sounds more subdued then their previous and the best songs are the most quiet..and if you look at their old album.. the most bombastic songs were the best tracks.

Definitely. I was actually kind of nervous before I listened to it just because I have always had such a deep connection to their other albums. On first listen I thought it was over produced and didn't create the emotional drama that the other records had but now it is definitely growing on me. Sweetest Kill is beautiful....

I bet that FlyLo show was nuts; Here in Detroit was an audio massacre and many audioheads were slayed. That room exploded.

Yeah I did. That was actually the second time I saw them. And I'm seeing them again Monday when they play at The Intersection. I love them live!

The new Corinne is so good! It wasn't love at first listen for me either, but now I can't stop. And it pretty much describes a pseudo-relationship I'm in right now, so it's perfect. And totally agreed on Battle Studies. It's grown on me too. Assassin is love. And Edge of Desire is the song I most often find stuck in my head. I definitely don't listen to BS (ha, the irony of the name is still not lost on me!) as much as any of his other albums- in fact, most of my recent JM plays have been for his older stuff (particularly Where The Light Is, lately)...back when he was...dare I say it? Still really good. Oh, the shame :(
