Yeah. I like every thought, a thought of you, and that's about it. I've recommended that album to a few people because it's more accessible and less aggressive, to see if I could expand their taste to mwY's other albums, which are clearly and utterly and completely better. The lyrics are a bit too descriptive and the vocals don't seem to have as much energy and rawness. But whatever. I know a lot of people who still prefer Brand New's earlier stuff when I think that Daisy is perfect. I'm seeing Brand New in April with P.O.S. in a small venue and I'm geeked.

Only god can judge me is my all time favorite. Their split with ghost mice is good too. People who can eat people are the luckiest people in the world is usually the first album that I recommend though. I'm actually trying to follow them around for a few weeks to make a documentary.

we've somehow stopped talking again! i opened my door this morning to find a very interesting vinyl on my doorstep of a band i know you *used* to listen to. not sure if you do anymore so i'll hold my bragging in for a moment.

Q and Not U's album No Kill No Beep Beep is their best, and their really only good work. But as for the rest of them, I have links to all of their stuff that I could send to you via your inbox if you tell me what you need. Give Algernon and BVS more listens though because they're two of my favorite bands, and they take a few listens to dig.

oh, i know what those are, just never heard them called that lol. they're fucking EVERYWHERE in my town/surrounding towns. as for recommendations, check out these bands, note that when i use "emo" in the genre i mean it in the best of ways, not that its sappy bullshit but emotive music: andrew jackson jihad (folk punk/acoustic), the plot to blow up the eiffel tower (punk/jazz), snowing (emo/math rock), polar bear club (punk), old canes (folk), empire! empire! (i was a lonely estate) (emo/post-rock), algernon cadwallader (emo/punk), boy problems/boys & sex (skramz/emo), bear vs. shark (alternative/punk), comadre (skramz/punk), native (math rock/alternative), damiera (math rock/pop), hot rod circuit (pop punk/alternative), the wonder years (pop punk/hardcore), folly (hardcore/ska), q and not u (OLD STUFF ONLY - math rock/punk), fun. (pop/alternative) and the format (pop/rock).

I don't even know what a promenade is, lol. I don't really think this is a bad area, where I live, just not somewhere I would prefer to be at my current age. I want to move to the city, and if I ever get married/settle down/have kids, all that jazz, i'd move back to my town.

I think my area is nice, not a lot of major crime and a good place to raise a family. However, for a kid, there isn't a lot of stuff to do so there are acquaintances of mine that are dabbling into LSD usage and things like that. The good thing is Philly is slightly less than an hour away and there's a handful of small towns to do stuff in even closer. There's a great music scene with tons of up and coming bands (see the 75:24 tape, the lehigh valley/philly emo scene) and a lot of established ones too (mewithoutYou, for example, is from philly. also see: good old war, circa survive and the starting line). In fact, anthony green went to a high school in my town and his mom works with my friend Rob. i don't know how much any of that means to you though. and yes, it is really cold up here.

That sucks. I don't have a car/not allowed to get one so I'm sharing one with my parents in hopes that it becomes mine in due time. Let's just say that right now, I might as well not have a car lol. I was confused by their new album, its no Brother, Sister at all...but I kind of took it for what it was. The new songs are actually really great live and the crowd gets really into them. But last night...they played the original Bullet to Binary...Aaron jumped into the crowd at the end for the "When you laugh..." part at the end. It was incredible.

Ha, pretty good. I'm bored...I got my license but can't drive yet, so I'm stuck at home updating my iPod. It said it needed to be restored, but it fixed itself. And as for the mwY album, it took a while to grow on me. I don't like it as much as Brother, Sister but it's pretty good. I'm seeing them in a day :D
