from the limited communique here, i am unclear on this your random [friend] generator. I would be quite interested, however, to see the code. I often do similar, at least, with inanimate things. (i.e. dig the CMS i created for static content mgt. a sample thereof is available at http://www.StateCollegeGuitarLessons.com/media/index.php )

“I said, ‘please, sit down.’ A candle lit your shadow, on the wall, near the bed.” -- G Numan, “Are Friends’ Electric?” -- seems, curiously even more apropos, the more i think of it, in /this/ circumstance particularly. strange. oddly, i hadn't thought of it in that context, on instantiating a posting, rather merely the idea of "please, sit down", as metaphor for "let us then become friends". indeed, i likely dissect much more of what others choose to merely consume, and for this i am often… oh, what's the word… dispelled? shut-out for subjective prejudice against thought, i suppose. who knows; who cares, it's truly beneath the likes of we, i suspect it's true (that i'd include you).

right… does it not however stand to reason, in so far as mechanical yours is contrived, then as mechanical should it be constructed (i.e. should it not be your "goal" as a part of such a project to refuse human intervention then, if you truly desire so much of /random/?; digital, of course). In other words: your very interaction with me; suggestion I … whatever… it breaks the dichotomy; breaks the model (i.e. it is the opposite of random, and therefore, not at all perfectly random, as i suspect is your intention) Even digital selection mechanisms are arguably flawed, in terms of a "random" pattern generation. Here I am, again, with nose-stuck-in-where-it-didn't-belong-marks all over it. To leave you with something useful, i recommend you look around the #compsci camp for your own permutations of this #random_theory; as you see it.

You can use Spotify for free, I do! You just listen to commercials slightly a bit more than you do on last.fm. I like Spotify a bit better because I have specific tastes in artists and you can fine tune your last.fm library radio a lot better that way. I don't use Spotify through Facebook means though :) Plus Spotify scrobbles to last.fm if that is important to you and you can listen in private mode if you wish~katiya

Hi lifeonrandom, good to have you as a friend. Use Spotify in conjunction with last.fm and you'll find a lot of music. I like Suzi Quatro as well I just need to listen to her more :)~katiya
