Totally forgot about that album, which may be a good thing, now I may get it. I'll remember your recommendations for when I finally check it out again, thanks! The band changes every album it seems, but that's what great about it. "In My Head" just needs more listens, and thanks for reminding me!

i was faded and took exactly 129 pictures of the mountains on the way back to my hometown. nearly all of them are blurry dark and terrible plus i was just joking with a friend to see if we could take a picture that resembles the cover lol

Over time Insect Warfare got fuzzier and noisier which suited their style. I'm not sure about it being "better" than most grindcore. I suppose it depends on how you define "good"; Nasum's production was good in a sense that it was clear whereas early ND production was good because it was murky.

hey! yep, i live in seattle. i'm not really into the steampunk scene, but you see a lot of it nowadays. it's definitely present at burning man! :) i have not read "the difference engine." is it about the steampunk scene? as for seattle... well, there are a lot of mainstream people of course (hip hop and pop-electronic [lady gaga] types). lots of tech people, too, though... so we do have a fairly large electronica scene as far as i can tell (along with gothic/industrial which ties into the steampunk scene). how's living in victoria?

I saw them last weekend on their last tour with Stu, the vocalist. He is actually now in Iced Earth - which is fucking crazy! I don't like the band much, but I probably will now since Stu is the new vocalist. The shows in Prince Albert are at small community clubs or at the art center. Probably less than 75 people show up. Maybe a few more, depending on who plays. There has actually been some good Canadian bands who have played here, not recently.. though. That is sooo cool! At least they're being safe about it.

Haha, awesome. Yeah, Saskatchewan is pretty.. culture orientated.. The metal scene here in Prince Albert is expanding thankfully. Do you listen to Into Eternity?

Haha, I just saw your comment now. Where did you get Prince George from? I'm from Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Indeed, a very amazing band.

I personally dislike Nevermore with a furious passion. Nothing against them personally, their music just isn't my forte. I'm also boycotting Dimmu at the moment, since I'm an elitist like that. They made a bad, sad, horrible move by kicking out 2 key members of their band earlier this year, and the new album is worse than the last. I feel like I have nothing nice to say, so I will say something nice! Enslaved is excellent! I do quite like their new album. I think it's great step forward from Vertebrae, which I found to fall a bit short and was a bit too slow. Did you end up making it to Bison last night? I wanted to, BAD! I ended up working a night shift and studied for my final on monday instead. BOO! The Rickshaw is a hit and miss venue, I like it, and I dislike it. If every show could be played at the Commondore or Venue, even Red Room, I think engery levels would soar just that much more. But you're right, when the Rickshaw get's busy and crowded it's quite trying om one's sanity.

Muahhaha LONG LIVE SCRAPE! Are you a frequent attendee to the metal shows in Vancouver? If so, I've probably seen you! I didn't go to the Evile show tonight. Sad but true! I've invested my time into catching up on some much needed homework time. I suppose I'll be seeing you at Nevermore EH?

The logo's apparently a representation of Mixcoatl from an Aztec codex... the short answer is that it's thieved from wikipedia. I like yours as well, the very small thing represented as gigantic... Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, you´re right man!! The Somewhere Back In Time Tour 2008 was filmed and will be exhibited like a documentary here in Mexico City on April 21st, 24th & 25th; I was there on 2008 and 2009 (two of three shows on this) and still on these days I´m so excited, I´m a huge fan from MAIDEN and since 92 in their first visit I was there.
