What I meant was that it will keep track of what you listened to when your iPod was on the go, and when you plug it back in to your computer it will scan your iPod's "Recently Played" list and add them. I did not know it would scan your entire iPod...I wish it had done that for me to be honest!

You need to grab the iPod scrobbler. It will keep track of what you listened to on your iPod while you are away from your computer. When you plug in your iPod it will check for songs you listened too (it does not always work, but most of the time it does).
