As U can see at my profile i prefer harder music like In Flames, its melodic metal. I also love Iron Maiden and this band can be named as old school metal :) When it's about pop, I dont listen to it too often. I like only single songs. Depeche Mode is the only exception. I love them. From old bands i like Led Zeppelin, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath or some Kiss's songs. But mainly I listen some younger bands. Greetings from Poland.

Yeah, I know them; Whitesnake is a great band, I like them too, and Mercenary was shown to me by a friend, and I really liked them, but I have a few songs. And Yngwie Malmsteen, well, it's just my favorite guitarist! I love him so much, your technique might resemble a series of tones ascending and descending in the scale, but I don't think so; he creates beautiful melodies, both on electric guitar and acoustic guitar. : )
