I wish last fm could scrobble vinyl! Also, I've got a mad mp3/flac/whatever collection, spread over several hard drives and computers. I'm going to do some spring cleaning soon, be great to get them all on the one drive.

Have you ever heard Martin Newell and his two "bands" the Cleaners From Venus or the Brotherhood of Lizards? If you can get The Greatest Living Englishman that is a good starter point, and if you get trouble then email me.

Hah... yeah I figured it was a phishing scam crap-thing. No worries, bud.

OK.. I just went through all 30+ of my contacts, and pasted my phishing scammer alert message, and then deleted the silly spam scam shoutbox messages!

I'm really sorry about the stupid phishing scam shoutbox posts, which weren't even posted by me. I've since deleted all of them. It's the last time I access last.fm on my mobile. I would've noticed the wonky URL in the browser... mind you the webpage looked exactly right!! Again, on my mobile browser I couldn't tell... on a normal browser I would've smelled a rat straight away. I am bloody livid! I hate scammers, spammers and phishers!!!

I can't remember the name of the song but there was a great instrumental by the Atlantics I heard, and it was frantic and wild to say the least. I think it's on youtube. They're even better than a lot of California surf bands, I think.

Yes, yes! Actually, Gary Zekley, the producer of The Yellow Balloon, wrote the title track, which Jan & Dean subsequently recorded, but was unsatisfied with the way they executed the song-- so he got a group together that included Don Grady so he could have his song the way he intended it to be. Nice to meet you as well! =)

Oooops some of my tags are so crap! I don't know why some of my mp3 tags have become garbled...

I love them; I'm a Siesta records junkie. Another two worth checking out- one non siesta record related, but still my top favorites- are Las Escarlatinas and holden (a band from france/ chile). I'll send the holden stuff with The Clientele. Their sounds compliment one another on an awesome scale. I haven't met or come across anyone from online who is into holden: gorgeous, gorgeous melodies!

I ADORE Le Mans and Stereolab. They were my favorites during my junior year in high school, I have lots of great memories with both of them. My life sadly or wonderfully has been marked by music, books, and films I loved. One album I have not tired of since then has been "Suburban Light" by The Clientele. I can't get myself to listen their later material in fear of spoiling my love for them.

I had no idea you lived in Japan! Did/do you listen to a lot of showa pop?
