hey, garth! yep, still up here in portland, and i'm also lamenting the loss of the old last.fm. glad you're still here, too. :)

yep - and without good recommendations spotify gets repetitive

Mostly the new version seems ridicously cumbersome but has an extra sleek top layer. Once upon a time, this site gave me the best leads on new music. that came from good people - like you. I miss that community.

Hi, thanks for stopping by. Nice charts! :)

Lovely quotes you got there bro. Btw, we're in good company, the guys from Kraftwerk love cycling too ;=) Take care...ciao ;=)

hey man, never seen a library as yours....Just Incredible... Congrats from Brazil... See yah!

Hi, nice to meet you at my site. Have a pleasant week - greetings from Germany :))

:) things are good. Ireland was awesome - I super enjoyed it. What's up in your corner of the world???

Hey Garth. Thanks for the shout. Indeed, a wee bit of jazz did find its way into my recent listening...crazy, man, crazy. :)

Hi Garth, yes mixing it up is probably what I do best! Or maybe I just have the attention span of a gnat! Somebody recommends something & I'm off on another foray! I see you are still into all the good stuff; I've been listening to a lot of free jazz, but I need some light relief in between. Ab Baars & Terry Ex looks interesting!............ I'm doing fine, & I'm beginning to look forward to some warmer spring weather; when you look out the window & see crocuses & daffodils, it means it can't be far away!

I was hit by the storm - the water almost reached the first floor of my house water came in the side door cracks in the basement for the first time

nice -- we had a street photography collection at our museum - Street Scene. I think it hit the museum circuit - http://www.mam.org/streetseen/. Hawaii - also nice. I'm looking forward to some days off around the 4th....yay!

Hey Garth! How's summer in Eugene? I'm still doing time in LA (kidding, sort of; the job is good), but will have a reprieve soon in the form of two weeks in France. :-)

:) I will be traveling to Ireland in October. And I went camping for Memorial Day Weekend. Actually the real blast - I did a writing workshop last weekend of April. I spent morning writing, afternoons waking, evenings debriefing with other writers and nights drinking with other writers - very energizing. How are you? What have you been up to lately?

your song suggestions in my journals are even more useful with some of them available for instant play - how fun to go back and re-visit the suggestions. Thank you

Hey Garth, thanks for the greetings! Same back at you. Just returned from a lovely, serene weekend in Santa Barbara. Now back to the LA rat race... :-) Hope you're well.

Hi Garth, I'm not much of a sports watcher but I'm surprising myself! Caught the bug I guess. Was nice to see Canada win gold in the moguls last night!

:) Thank you - warm cheer to you too. it was a day well spent - cooking and writing. wish I could spend more days like that. hope you also had a good V day.

Hi Garth, thanks for dropping by & giving me the opportunity to reciprocate. I've been browsing through your people photos, so much lovely work. How many were completely candid & how many played to the camera? Great stuff!

Hi Garth, a belated Happy Thanksgiving day to you too! We Canadians actually celebrated the day back in October. I think I did shoot a Coltrane box set but I must have subsequently deleted it. Maybe it's time for another go at it. Hoping you're well!

well..musician..that's a strong word. I do play flute and a piano a bit and I'm also trying to do some electronic stuff but I wouldn't call myself a musician. (I don't know much about the theory and I'm too shy to improvise when anyone listens and so on...) I just enjoy listening to music. And I have always listened a lot. And that's just it....Yes, and my father's huge collection of great CD's helped me a lot and, to stop this egocentric talk...how are you?

Hello, Garth. I saw you dropped by. I hope things are well with you. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Garth, thanks for stopping by! Any good shows come thru Oregon lately?

Hey Garth! I'm alive and well and living in Los Angeles. Got a job as an editor in the health care field; score! And you, how's tricks?

and how goes things with you? :)

things are good - busy. Had to pull back from teaching yoga - but still practicing. My most recent finds: [artist]The Ettes[/artist] [artist]Rachid Taha[/artist] [artist]Melissa Ferrick[/artist] [artist]Prototypes[/artist] - you'll have to let me know what you think. What about you - new finds to your collection?

Hey, been listening to your library this afternoon and caught Alan Broadbent's "Everytime I Think of You" - first time I ever heard this. Love those rich, lush orchestrations...right up my alley. Reminded me a lot of some of Shirley Horn's stuff.

Greeting and salem from Algeria

hi garth! thanks for the kind words, re: photography. i'm having a lot of fun.... you're doing some very nice work yourself! very impressive stuff. yep, josh ritter is still a fave. and i see you're still into all sorts of exotic jazzy sounds! very cool. cheers.

I don't know how, but I managed to miss your comment until now. Hope you have been well. Yeah, tweet me sometime. Take care!

I'm good. Yoga teacher training is going well. I student teach this September. And I do have a recommendation - [artist]Rachid Taha[/artist]! check out the top 3 songs! :-)

Garth! Love your street scenes. Hope you're well; happy listening.

If you're lucky, your copy will arrive signed by Coco and with a poster too. I also forgot and ordered well past the release date and still received one of the limited signed copies.

Hi Garth! Thanks for the link. It's a thing of beauty. My son just bought that CD at Starbucks the other day! Looking forward to seeing more photos from you again!

*smile* that was good. thanks for sharing

Ha! Ha! Yeah, I hadn't played Branford since then until now. You just happened to stop by both times when I was. Hope you are well!
