Yes!! I actually hit my goal of listening to 23K different unique artists before the end of the year! It's crazy to think that we're nearly to the year 2026! I've got no doubt that last.fm will still be here to record every single scrobble throughout this upcoming year!

I hate how there's an arbitrary limit on the amount of accounts you can follow on here. I can't follow anyone new because it says I'm maxed out at following 13,345 different accounts (LOL I had no idea it was that many!) The point is that I'm going to have to unfollow a bunch of people in order to create space for new accounts to follow like people I find over on the last.fm subreddit. I'll try to prioritize only unfollowing inactive accounts or accounts with low compatibility, but I might also just do a bunch of mass unfollowing without really looking into the accounts that much because I NEED to get some free space. If I unfollowed you, it wasn't personal. If you specifically want me to re-follow your account for whatever reason, just send me a message stating that. Thanks guys!!

If anyone was wondering why I have such an insanely high amount of "loved tracks", it's because I treat it just like I would treat the "like" button on Spotify, applying to any song that I even just slightly enjoyed listening to. It's also a way for me to visually keep track of what songs I have and haven't listened to. It doesn't show if you've listened to a particular song before unless you manually click on it, but if I see the red heart, I know I've listened to that song at least once so it's an easy way to check if I song is completely brand new to me or not without having to click on it. It's not like I have the names of every song I've ever listened to memorized or anything, because I've listened to TONS AND TONS of music over the years. This post is formatted into 3 neat paragraphs on my end, but I think last.fm automatically smushes it all into a giant wall of text so sorry about that.

It's such a great time to be alive in a music sense because of how everyone now has easy access to a vast deep archive of songs spanning every different genre and every different era in the form of music streaming services or torrents if they want to go that way. There's already more music easily found on the internet than a person could listen to in a single lifetime! That's so cool!

Awesome I'm now at well over 22,000 different artists listened to! Music is intimately attached to my very soul in a way that no other form of art is. I know that regardless of what happens in life or how shitty I'm feeling, I'll always have my favorite music to comfort me!
