I completely understand. I was an expat for 17 years in various places and TISM was like a lifeline to what was happening down under. Plus I just needed that shot of aussie irreverence. :)

Dude, seriously. You could've gone with us. We're used to taking *random* people with us. (: A couple of weeks ago I took two Irish people and a guy from Greece to the Ulver gig here in Belgium. Urfaust were pretty good. They were pretty shitfaced, though. The drummer made a lot of mistakes and semi-trashed his drum kit. A Forest of Stars were quite enjoyable as well. They didn't sound as good as they do on CD, though. And hehe, I just got home from seeing Neil Diamond with ze parents, actually. ;)

Belgium really is tiny. Nothing is all too far away, but sometimes the problem is you can't watch the entire gig 'cause you'll have to catch the last train home. I've been to De Klinker several times, it's within walking distance from Aarschot's train station. Maybe you can look it up on Google Maps? De Klinker: Demervallei 14, 3200 Aarschot and the train station: Statieplein 1, 3200 Aarschot. Maybe I'm going by train as well; I'm not sure yet. I'll keep you posted. (:
