Merry Christmas from Augsburg (Germany), Josh, I see you still utilize lastfm after more than 10 years now :-) ... You are a lastFM dinosaur!... When you look back (from today's viewpoint): how did your "musical exploration" evolve? ... Wishing all the best for your upcoming **38k scrobbles milestone** ... How I came by here? ... I've just finished glancing over messages from over 7 years ago (2011 April) in my shoutbox... it was about the musicology group

Heyo TA for the visit! Looks like I can find quite a few new classical artists here on your profile. I also followed your band camp link, and I'm currently giving your music a listen too as well. Three songs in and I'm certain yours fits very well into my current tastes. TA again.

I haven't listened to Allan Pettersson in a while. Fairly intense if I remember correctly. He lived in a lot of psychic if not physical pain as well, am I accurate? In any case that comes through in his compositions. I also bought Nørgård's 7th symphony as soon as it was available. I think it's terrific. Regarding Danish composers, have you heard Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen's "Plateaux pour Piano et Orchestre"? You might find it interesting. I've been focusing on many of the composers associated in one way or another with the Paris and Vienna scenes. Just to name-check for a bit -- Gérard Pesson, Gerd Kühr, Régis Campo, Hèctor Parra, Hugues Dufourt, Beat Furrer, Philippe Hurel, Emmanuel Nunes, Jérôme Combier, Bruno Mantovani, Brice Pauset, Michaël Lévinas, Mauricio Sotelo, Peter Ablinger, Johannes Schöllhorn, Thierry Pécou, Jonathan Harvey, Luca Francesconi, Johannes Maria Staud, Michaël Lévinas, Wolfgang Mitterer... others.
