Hello deadwing89! We saw that you have a pretty good taste in music and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We would love if you checked out this song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmTj6CzmAp4 ! Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) by commenting the video, and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=44kjqZUC5PU that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! THATS US!!!

ps if you have not heard [artist]Colin Stetson[/artist]'s new album you are seriously missing out hard. look him up, read how he creatd the album... or listen first. it's definitely my favorite of the year so far.

oh that album is incredible! and addictive, it's so unique. I have the cd which has two bonus tracks and they're good too - though I discovered there's an even better 2cd version with the older EP on it too.. I hope he comes with an LP this year! also yeah I've been helped a bit by being immersed in so much good music in SF... I'm gonna try to have at least one a week this summer.

good shit here son

Isn't it rediculously good?? Quickly becoming one of my faves of the year.

certainly is. not at all what i expected but it's good to have a new twist on Underworld's sound. this is like the "straight banger" collection they never made... definitely the most dancey thing since the live album. have you seen the video for Always Loved A Film? it's on my blog http://optimisticunderground.wordpress.com/2010/09/06/always-loved-a-film/ and it's fucking hilarious/awesome. just checked your library and i've gotta say it's awesome someone else digs Second Toughest like I do.

No I haven't actually - I wanna try to get that to you this week though. Got it queued up for a listen..

oh that Decade Mix is great! lots of great artists/parts on it.. also really dig the Black Fist mix and the one he did for mary ann hobbes. I'll have to listen to it again to check for the Heaven Earth Magic stuff. I know for sure that in the middle of H&E M suddenly Endless White played and I was super psyched. Nothing else aside maybe a really slowed down bassline from LA was remotely familiar during the whole film. I really hope they release it on dvd or at least a download version because it was such an experience.

Yes he is. It's even more impressive considering how young he is, how he's from way outside the normal scene, and how he never released a series of hyped as hell singles or splits or pretty much anything besides a little ep and then this brilliant album. Inspires me. And I feel that way all the time about the good music out there. Even when I'm checking out several new artists a week I just know that I'm missing out on all sorts of stuff that I may have even heard mentioned but didn't bother. I try to pick the random things that seem outside of my taste every once and a while to shake that up..

Yeah isn't the album just... perfect in what it does? I've been listening while driving really often lately and feeling even more enamored of it.

Hey listening to your album now - I had it lost amidst the new downloads on my computer and discovering it this morning I promptly queued it up. Sounding good - I really dig the first track.

been rockin that TOKiMONSTA huh? her album is brilliant! one of the best most assured female artists in the genre. hell one of the best period. Nothing too innovative.. just really solid!

Yes, I love that song and video! It's great! I think the footage must be from history channel or some reenactment thing... still, so cool. You've watched the new video for Mmhmm right? posted on my blog I was loving it so much.

Send me some FLYamSAM please!!!

and i accidentally hit 'post'. Anyway, also check out [artist]Emeralds[/artist] if you haven't. Get their self-titled album from last year and the newest album Does It Look Like I'm Here? - that and Returnal are the latest vinyls I ordered, if that gives any indication as to how much I like them. Most definitely I would recommend [artist]Skyramps[/artist] and will gladly point you to my [url=http://optimisticunderground.wordpress.com/2010/03/10/days-of-thunder/]blog post where I share the album[/url]. It's the OPN guy with the guitarist from Emeralds... so basically awesome incarnate.

Well I wouldn't really even consider him drone, but its the easiest thing to say. In any case, I'll share with you the artists I've mentally grouped with OPN. first off, definitely check out [artist]Black to Comm[/artist], his album Alphabet 1968. A truly deep head trip on the level of Returnal (although perhaps even more abstract & trippy)

really good, find a way to get ahold of that

sure thing. glad you liked her.

lol @ something with some color to it... have you ever heard of tokimonsta? she reminds me of flying lotus a lot. she's pretty sick. check out her stuff.

Make sure the tracks are right because on my version Solitude is Bliss was actually the iTunes bonus track. If you need either track I'll get it to you

Hell yeah! Tame Impala!!!

thanks for sharing, they're such a fun band.. i'd love to see them live.

yeah, it's just a little thing i've started doing after accumulating so much new music... i would neglect the other stuff while i'm playing out something i love... so i go full circle, and then everything stays fresh ;)

i love it, i just want to savor it lol... i don't like playing shit out right away, i like to play all my new music then come back around to it. feels brand new.

i just came to see what these three ugly dudes were all about

nope! just did it once to help me separate the tracks in my head a little

haha, i thought so too but the guy is pretty good. he reminds me a lot more of bonobo, if you've heard of him.

LOL oh be quiet..

haha, yeah i know...got a little heart happy but i couldn't help myself. it was great.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know!

alright, got it. i'll be listening after this album..this is good stuff.

ha! unfortunately, i am not as cool as that girl looks. just me. i'll definitely check 'em out, thanks.

thank you! i appreciate you checking it out.

absolutely. what's your email?

nice taste ;)

Haha, yeah Melt rules. Camel was another one of my favorites from the album, but I haven't seen the Italian Job o:

Great taste in music! And I had the exact same thought about the Gandalf whistle in Melt!

Oh my, it was incredible. Serious business. The film thing was really sweet, super abstract and trippy, and his music reflected that. Incredibly different than his normal work, but strangely this sort of natural progression, showing what he can do when not under any constraints to be catchy or remotely hiphop-influenced. Hearing the leak of Cosmogramma now, I can clearly see how he applied those lessons. And the actual show, later that night? Brilliant. He's like the new Underworld or something - electronic music that's both intelligent and gets people craaaaazy and he played for quite a while. Though honestly I lost track of time, it could have been 45 minutes or 4 hours..

hmmm. maybe it's only doing your last 3 month charts?

i've only heard a 4 track sampler so far, but scissor and scarecrows are awesome.

what do you think about new liars?

I was in high school but now i dont listen to them

hey look who's getting on that OPN goodness! Nice to see you on the listener list on that page. So, getting exponentially excited for Cosmogramma? I am. Also, how so many gonjasufi plays? did his album leak already??

thanks alot man really appreciate it i dig your charts
