it’s nice to see you too!! and yeah your take on the Slut Pops is very valid. it’s in the same vein as how that same person also proceeded to produce Woman’s World so it’s fair to find those EPs distasteful when you consider who helped make it. though i guess when i look past that i see myself enjoying the playful lyricism in a lot of those songs like Treat Me Like A Slut and Throat Goat. it’s by no means her best work but i like how it’s different from what she’s made in the past

and yesss Detour is absolutely amazing and i love to see how she was finally able to create something she was proud of after leaving that label. i think the far more electronic, hyperpop-esc production suits her so well and i’m so so excited for the deluxe version of that album that’s hopefully coming out soon

she also dropped Pop Sound on streaming services a few weeks ago!!!! that genuinely surprised me but i’m so happy she did and it does make me wonder if she plans on doing something similar for the rest of Pretour. i’m aware that it was among those other four songs that were originally considered for the deluxe and she’s said she has a lot of material for that reissue so the possibilty of it being released along with the other deluxe tracks seems to still be on the table but i could be wrong

Yessss it's a lovely record! I was really into the dubstep duo 16bit at the time and they have a production credit on it which is partly why I picked it up. Still far from her best though! My fav is probably Homogenic with Vespertine a close second. She rarely misses. As for Nyanwolf I actually only just now looked up the "drama" upon your pfp reminding me that I haven't seen their stuff around in a while and to give my take on it: a complete nothingburger. Essentially just cancelled for being a furry. So disappointing to see the community eating itself in recent years :(
