thats crazy. i didn't realize he's from around here. other than the 21+, living here is pretty good when it comes to concerts. the cities are super close and madison isn't too far... i saw the secret machines about a month ago in madison and the drive wasn't too bad.... got back at 4 am the next day, but it was totally worth it.

Haha sweet! Since I go to college in NY, I have to fly back, so I have to get up at like 4 in the morning, 'cause a 5:30 flight is the best I could get haha, it's pretty ridiculous. I know! That Bon Iver is so good! And yeah, Man Man pretty much own to say the least; I'm sorry to hear that you almost saw them with Modest Mouse too, that would have been awesome. I've heard of The Alarmists, and I think I heard one of their songs on The Current, but I've never really checked them out. I'll have to look into that free concert thing, it sounds pretty sweet. And no offense, but Seether? Come on!

Well, that's pretty sweet. I've always heard a lot about The Faint, and they've been on my "artists to listen to" list for a pretty long time now, but I've never really got around to it yet, haha. If you haven't listened to Bon Iver yet, though, I strongly recommend you do. And you might like this group called Man Man, too; some people say they sound like a bluesy-er Modest Mouse with more piano. Have you been to any sweet shows recently too?

Yeah that should be ridiculous if you get to go down there, definitely have fun. It does suck that you didn't get to buy tickets, but I think they're both relatively young artists, so you'll probably get to see them eventually, don't worry about it!

Yeah I saw that they were coming to First Avenue, that should be pretty sweet. I was also thinking of going to Rock the Garden, but I just saw The New Pornos at college in April with Okkervil River, and I think I'm going to see Andrew Bird this fall there too, so I didn't really see the point in going. Lollapalooza would be ridiculous, I would be extremely jealous if you went to that, I know a few people from college who are going to other festivals. I'm pretty pumped for this summer though, it should be really good for concerts. Taste of Minnesota doesn't sound bad either.

Yeah, it's kind of different than here, mainly because there are lakes/parks everywhere out here. Yeah I really hope to see them on Thursday though, it should be a good time. Who else do you want to see this summer though?
