Yes,I imagined that those creatures had a significance in Japanese culture (Or is it just me?).WOW, these take away shows are such an adorable idea, I love japan even more now :).I already loooove shugo tokumaru, Exit and rum hee are awesome.tenniscoats sounds great as well, what can you recommend from them? Thanks for sharing those videos, I subscribed to the channel .Have a nice a time in the pains show and don't forget to tell me about it :-).

No problem, you weren't late :).I've known most of these Japanese bands and artists through last.fm and the internet and some through video games (Nobuo Uematsu) and anime.I actually saw 旅をしませんか's video first on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kbq359vXbR8) and I fell in love with the band and started listening to them.By the way,I started learning Japanese recently, but I can't read or write any Kanji yet :-/.I see you're gonna see the pains soon, lucky you :).

I came to your page after I saw your shout on Kokikudan's 旅をしませんか page.Great taste, no wonder we're super :-).I love all the bands I know of on your charts and eager to check out the rest.Friends?

The tickets were sold out!!!!!

I can't wait! It's going to be a great gig. I only found out Tenniscoats had a new album out recently, so hopefully they will play a mix of the old and new stuff.

Stealing your playlist mate! I reckon If By Yes, The Vaselines, Pascals, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Tujiko Noriko and Best Coast will make for some good listening! ;)

こちらこそありがとうございます！いい曲たくさん聞かれてますよね。よろしくお願いします ;)

Hey Bow, thanks for the Shugo Tokumaru vid, - brilliant stuff! I just need to work on my Japanese to fully appreciate the awesomeness - "wakari masen" just isn't a good enough excuse anymore! I had no idea Kazumasa Hashimoto's work was for movies - which ones should I look out for? Hey man, I'm sorry to hear about everything going on in Japan - I hope all's going as well as it can out there.

please take care.

Ha! Yeah, there's a few Tenniscoats fans here. I wish they'd play the UK more - they were here a couple of years ago at Cafe Oto, which seems to be *the* place for the good stuff coming from Japan (saw Midori Hirano and Kazumasa Hashimoto there). Thanks for the tips, will definitely add them to my playlist (and gig list if they come over). Love 'Preach' by Otomo Yoshihide so will dig around for more! The hip-hop over on your side is great also, do you know Bulljun?

Thanks for accepting bow-end - great taste! What artists are you into at the moment?

i like your profile picture!

Hey, thanks again for your info about the Wilco gig. I made it after all. One more gaikokujin : P .. It ( the gig & the trip ) was brilliant!

Hey, thanks for your shout! Very kind and helpful! I'm having a pre-taste of the Japanese coolness : ) I'm gonna do my best to attend the gig, got some practical details to sort out first. Do you know that venue? Are all gigs in Tokyo, this expensive ?

My friend introduced Hideki Kaji to me several years ago and I like him at the very first time I listen to his music. I also like Paris Match a lot!
