the vocals are kinda "meh" but everything else was pretty cool. and the new bled songs didn't really blow my mind. I'm pretty sure the only remaining original member is the guitarist, I'll still get their album though, I just wish their drummer didn't leave

I mean it doesn't matter how pretentious something sounds if its good, its when the tone sounds all important and epic when the music itself is cliche and not very imaginative that its just like... fuck these guys

yeah i know what you mean, its hard to not be picky with it. i tend to get bored of post rock bands way faster than anything else, its a genre plagued by copy cats copying copy cats who copied other copy cats. A lot of it is just different variations of the exact same old tired ideas, and despite being unoriginal there's usually some kinda pretentious vibe there that just makes me wanna facepalm. if you're gunna present your music like some kind of epic masterpiece it sure as hell better be an original epic masterpiece that some lazy asses didn't just draw off of their "influences". that isn't to say there aren't some great bands though, i just feel like there's a lot more half ass artists in post rock than any other genre, even gangster rap or hair metal...
