hi melissa

JUAN GABRIEL EL GOAT

Happy 11th scrobbling anniversary today! ... How quick time flew by listening to your 70k scrobbles ... May the 'Music God' bless you with even more such musical birthdays, and many hidden, musical discoveries ... What are your thoughts about lastfm right now, and if you still remember, what did you think when you joined over a decade ago? ... P.S. Let me present this music (e.g. available at spotify) to your anniversary: ... genre: minimal/experimental -> 11th track, from album ('piano edition (album #2)'): ... 'the reminder' (with 99 BPM) ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/the+reminder ... btw: Here in Germany we now have to wear face masks when shopping, driving bus and so on... Is this similar at your place, Melissa ?

Hello from Hildesheim, Melissa, I see you utilize lastfm for over 9 years by now :-) ...Welcome to the "oldtimers" club... When you look back now - how did your "musical exploration" mature over time? ... Wishing all the best for your "1700 artists scrobbled" milestone ... How I discovered your profile? ... lastfm shows us both in this weekly "Scrobble Leaderboard" charts: last DOT fm/user/sidewinder03/listening-report/week ... It's nice to meet you

hello! I think you're the first new person I've followed on here since probably 2012!

Greetings! Thanks for accepting. Great musical taste!

For sure! Three days I'm here, my musical life evolved by 300%

Thank you so much! Started after 3 years out of Last fm. I went back by a lack that makes this social network in my musical life

Hi! Thank for the add! :D Great music library!

MY FAVE! best gem there is

Thank you for the request, :) And thank you for listening to Dalida's Cat! :)

Thank you!

Annie Clark at her gif finest. I have expressed admiration for your avatar as well. Jett and Harry, two powerhouses! hey, I am trying to get into 60's classic rock with a psychedelic, almost alternative edge. I know a couple like Amon Duul II and Sliver Apples, but nothing that really grabs me, you know? Any suggestions? (Music suggestions in general appreciated too, I'm restless for some new stuff.)

You have wonderful taste! Request accepted!

Hi! I honestly just noticed a shout from you from December that I really feel as though I haven't read before. I know I don't log in here much now but that's ridiculous! Anyway, great to hear from you! I don't use MB myself much these days either but I miss ya around there all the same when I do.

<33333 that makes me so happy

salutes

No Dolls No Debutantes is going to make a come back soon <3

Hello my goodreads friend. :) I need to listen to the Kinks I've only heard "You Really Got Me" which by the way is a great song. Listening to them right now actually. Looking at your top artists I don't see why our musical compatibility is at Low I think it's good I mean High. Cheers from California! :)

belated answer to your q: yeah I did catch RSM live at a little pub in Cambridge, not a great turn out, got the impression he's not big on gigging in the UK, can't blame him either - oh well! Didn't want to meet him either, the music exists in a sacred personal space, not really something I ever thought I'd see performed. Boy recommendations get harder all the time... it's mostly podcasts and Spotify these days. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgeS7GqTZIE ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRXuXeYMpZk ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6phcGeZzIyI ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PhxUmjVQNtI ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5TvXEDEU5I ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apxuRKWmEJs ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o250Kfzcmmc ; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HciSJK4JlVQ

shit, we have as well! But you little badge says we're '99% compatible', which means I'm almost a figment of your consciousness? Oh well. How are you? (applies to before I annoy you with this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGz5xPXydcg)

I'm studying IT at the moment, but I'm thinking of changing my major to either Human Resources or Law. I don't like any of these, but I have to, you know. I'm thinking about studying filmmaking after finishing college, but it is not that important, I can learn by my self I think. Did you choose directing or cinematography?

That is great, wish you the best, and thanks for the info.

Didn't know the story about having a 9 page script for Dern! I hope he doesn't quit making films, though I don't want him to go back again to that dark area of Hollywood, "Inland Empire" is the perfect ending to it. What is it like studying filmmaking? Is it all about technique? how many years do you have to finish? and does it cost a lot of money? Filmmaking is one of my dreams.

Hello Melissa, just saw your posts about Lynch on Mahmoud's profile. I'm thrilled by this guy, he is my favorite director next to Tarkovsky. You HAVE to watch "Inland Empire". Someone said this is the movie Lynch have been working on since the beginning of his career. Now I don't totally agree with that, but I think I understand what he means. Who said that he stopped directing? As far as I know he just stopped making films with movie cameras and turned to digital.

I agree, that's why you're very lucky if you make a living doing something fun. Haha, I like "whenever I feel like watching a Lynch film" because it's a fact, there's a lynch film mood that you wouldn't appreciate his films unless you're in. Same here I have a lot of films to watch yet, I know its weird, but I have been watching them in alphabetical order so that I guilt myself out of re-watching old ones . Great, I'm downloading the shorts right now, but it'll be a while until I get to them. BTW your profile reminded me of my love for the kinks (this doesn't sound good, but you know what I mean :P).

Wow, that's pretty awesome. I'm kinda jealous, I've always wanted to be on the creative side of things instead of being just a "consumer". I don't know if I told you before or not, but I'm a pharmacy grad, never really hated it or loved it to be honest. Haven't seen these shorts, but now that you're imploring me to check'em out, I feel I have too. I've seen most of his works though and I think you have to see 'Inland Empire' (specially that you're studying film-making). It's not my favorite, but it's probably his most 'potent', you know you're watching a Lynch film the second you press play. Similar to Eraserhead or maybe even more 'crazy' :).

He IS a good looking guy :P, have you seen him in Dune? I'm a big fan of lynch, do you like other works by him? Thanks :), if you don't mind me asking, what do you do? Are you in school or college, I mean?

Yes, I was. I went back to Qatar as I used to live there before college and hopefully trying to land a job. How's it going? Billie Holiday and Jimmy Scott <3, 'Sycamore Trees' always reminds me of Twin Peaks, awesome :).

I've noticed you're a Kinks fan, well my friend is selling his vinyl records one of which is Kinks record, he has the Who as well, i thought you might be interested!

Nice charts! AND you're also from Lebanon ;) Have a good day!

I always assumed deerhoof to be another hipster redundancy. I was wrong, it's pretty awesome, distinctively jappy.

I am very firm on the last point.
