I use FDR Tools and Photomatix Pro for HDRs. FDR Tools is open-source free software, which tonemaps, Photomatix isn't free but works just as well as FDR though the only difference is Photomatix allows for some HDR specific adjustments, which the free version of FDR doesn't offer. I haven't had much luck HDR'ing either but I am still new to the technique.

I just got into tone mapping and HDRs and was wondering if you have any advice for me? I usually take around 9-10 shots from +2..0..-2 and I use an open-source HDR program.
