Understandable. PC games are always a nice solution, I've been enjoying some here recently as I wait for a couple of big 'hits' to get here. Lacuna is set for early 2012, no idea how it will sound despite Andrea promised a treat to both old and new fans. Epica will come out in March and Nightwish got pulled back to 2011, so it'll be released in December. Hey there. I also made use of some spare time and went on vacation, it was relaxing and enjoyable, so I won't complain :D Will be away again for a couple of days soon. As for music, that Evanescence song is a very radio friendly but I guess that's where they're aiming for. Good news for you is that Nightwish will release that album earlier than expected this year, so I'll probably pour out all my negativism in a review or something, haha :D Other than that, just listening to whatever comes my way.

That'd probably be the absolute death of NW for me, haha. Heard the demo of 'Ever Dream' with which Anette 'impressed' the band and the only thought was if they really listened to that with their ears or did they have those cut off. Oh well :D

Also heard some weird remake of a Nightwish sample which sounded like shit XD Anyway. If they keep it that way, probably even Evanescence will release a better album, if you follow my thoughts :D Hugs!

I remember that statement about Lacuna's new effort but I know better than to trust words as "it'll be out heaviest & fastest & whatever" and the like. Of course, I'll give it a chance when it comes out and I really hope they'll keep their promise for a change, Andrea said it'll be a treat for both old and new fans. So we'll see. For My Pain... really has that vocal charm, not to mention I can name several singers who sound pretty much the same, haha. Tell me if you can't find the album, I'll send it over somehow.

Lacuna Coil was a pretty good band until they tried to turn the alternative side on (check their last album for instance, cheap Linkin Park alt.-ghost). I haven't been following H.I.M at all lately although I enjoyed a track or two years ago, so I won't be of much help there. If you're looking for catchy sympho-gothlike stuff though, you might wanna check [url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrzZifw5kcs]these guys[/url] if you don't know them yet. There's Tuomas from Nightwish on keyboards, just yesterday I saw that this was one of the very first bands I listened to back in 2006 when I got my last.fm profile :D
