Yeah, I like those two as well. Not as much initially as Stitch in Time, but you can tell they're growers :) I've been listening to SP a lot lately too, but it's mainly because I'm trying to introduce them to people from TAFE. One win, a guy says that Mellon Collie is the best album he's ever heard. I haven't heard of 7 Year Bitch, but they sound cool. I'll look em up. I've been listening to a band called Tame Impala. Kinda 60's psychedelic, but I think I like them cause most of their songs have awesome jazzy basslines.

haha bad luck on the non-18ness.. it gets better! :D yeah i thought it was really good, cept the mix at the beginning for about the first 4 or 5 songs was a bit shit! festy halls like that though..also wasn't too sure on pretty much ignoring the crowd, like they came out, played, left. that's it. but maybe that's them defying convention haha. i agree cedric seemed a bit lacking a times! the tea was a bit hilarity. and then at the big day out the next day he was doing like backflips onstage and running around in the audience. his dancing was sweet though :) wish i could have seen at the drive in..! otherwise it was an amazing set, their technical skills are mindblowing! loved the backdrop too. anymore gigs for your self coming up? :D

i wholeheartedly agree right there! most definitely one of those must see bands :D it probably will be one massive jam hey, they're such trippers. you're probably right about the support too, though no one on this years line up seems worthy enough..i hope pivot do it, that'd be amazing. what tickets do you have for mars volta? ga? i did get tickets to melbourne bdo, yep, looking forward to it, though the line up is a little dull..ah that fantomas sideshow nearly made me cry haha..they played my favourite album and i wasnt 18 at the time and couldnt go..damn mike pattons niceness. so im hoping nick cave will pop up at st jeromes laneway! the dirty three are playing and i reckon nick will jump in with them (hopefully!) what do you think? :D

Hi =) Well, I think i've only heard a few faith no more songs, so i don't really know them. Gogol bordello is really great =D At first i didn't really enjoy, but after a few listenings ir really gets into you and you feel like you need to dance and jump while listening! I recomend the lattest album "Super taranta"; "Wonderlust king" is probably the most popular song of the album or even of the band, listen to it,it's so cool *-*

I've never heard anything about it winning any awards. Another one of Chris Cunninghams videos, 'All Is Full Of Love' by Bjork was nominated for best video by MTV I think. As far as I know Come To Daddy didn't win anything aside from universal acclaim.

I'm glad it's one show. I'd never see two shows and I'd rather see a show with a mixed format. Plus the San Diego show is general admission, which is automatic win.

Well, the most accesible album would probably be 'Richard D. James Album', that's what I got first. It's nowhere near my favourite though. My personal favourite is Selected Ambient Works Vol.2 but you may want to leave that a while, it takes some time to adjust to it. You may like Drukqs, it's pretty bizarre and can be a complete mindfuck at times but there's some great IDM on there, Vordhosbn in particular is one of his best tracks. Another album would be 'I Care Because You Do...' really good stuff there. Ignore all his pseudonyms for the time being (ie. AFX, Polygon Window, GAK etc.). So yeah......'RDJ Album' or 'I Care Because You Do' would probably be the best places to start, hope that helped.

My first BDO too actually. It would've been great to be at the Tool/Muse last year or RATM this year. I saw Smashing Pumpkins at vfest, underage and free. We just kind of walked in as they were packing up the gates, got to see the majority of SP up close. And we got Zero!! Everyone is jealous of that.

Not entirely impressed with the lineup but I figured it should be a good day anyways, probably introduce me to some new music and everything. Hey MickyC_SP, nice to meet a Smashing Pumpkins freak of your level of freak-ishness - 4,100 songs is insane! While my personal interest in them has waxed and waned over the past few weeks partly due to over-exposure, my favourite song remains Perfect from Adore. Our very high compatibility is good, since I am low or very low with some of my other friends who like the same kinds of music 'on paper'. I'm also very excited about BDO '09 because of electronic groups like Pendulum and Prodigy, but I am happy that they have decided to cater for 'all audiences' with My Morning Jacket (a great southern/ alternative band), the Arctic Monkeys and Neil Young. Neal frickin Young! Lets just say that I can't wait for Australia Day! I've added you to friends - hope to hear more from you in the future. - Cam

Very impressive show... and Alison sounded amazing live. I have no idea what the albatross comment was about... and there was a bit of confusion as to whether or not that pissed her off and then they fucked up a song...? I dunno. Oh well, she got over it and the rest of the show rocked. :)

Hello, i did catch them in Adelaide. Was lucky enough to see them in Sydney and Melbourne twice as well, all were very special - Sydney was the first time i'd sen them, Adelaide was great to have them in my home state and Melbounre was just a great experience and 2 amazing shows. Was lucky enough to travel around with some great friends from all around the country and Meet Billy in Melbourne, a great few days. I notice someone mentioned ozphoria on here, you should check it out if you haven't already ;)

Hi. First of all: I agree on the SP-good-taste-topic ;) . So your tastes are brilliant as well :) . But it's funny to see you listen to The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy as well as me. They are obviously nothing similar to SP :D. And yes I am waiting for the Fillmore documentary and hope to find it in stores around here or on some German webstore, so I can save shipping costs. I can't wait to call a good quality version of Gossamer and some of the so called "Residency songs" my own.

The alien :D. I don't really like science but i've always had good grades in that area too. I'm more into arts. I'm going to high school this year, and the area i chose was visual arts. I did't chose maths because i think geometry and art history would be more interesting for me, but im going to try to do maths anyway next year. It's always good for your head :)

(I respect the "nerds". When you see a movie or whatever that represents a nerd, it's always as na unpopular person, who anybody cares about. I think "nerds" are much more interesting than most of the so called "cool people", When I say with no problems i'm a nerd without actually being one, what i actually want to say is that i don't find any problem in being one)

I just say I am a nerd because of my grades, but I don't consider myself a real nerd. I just have a few similarities :D

i can't really make out a favourite song...depends on my mood etc. but i think i would go for stand inside your love,soma,geek u.s.a.,ruby,siva... uhhm well it's really much too hard i love them all:D at the moment i'm crazy about placebo,it's just the perfect soundtrack for the beginnig dark fall,i especially dig the whole meds album. never heard of timo maas,tell me more about it!

of course i did!! saw them in good ol' germany and i have to say this without any exaggeration: it was the best day in my life:D nice to have another pumpkin fan in my friendlist! well, would you tell me which of their songs you like most?? i know, it's a tough decision:P
