Recommendations? I thought up some stuff for you. Paradise Lost albums Host and One Second. They are gothic metal but definitely from the softer and easier access side of the genre for new comers. Especially Host is quite poppy though melancholic (duh). You like Linkin Park and Bring Me the Horizon (at least their poppier stuff) so check out Finnish band Blind Channel and maybe if you feel up to it and little heavier music go for new band Beyond Awareness. As you like pop music, I recommend Leslie Hall's album Songs In the Key of Gold. I like all kinds of music, not much pop though but this is clever, catchy and electronic enough for me. Final recommendation is Captain Ahab's album After the Rain My Heart Still Dreams. It's a mix of pop and many electronic genres, some might be weird but there's definitely lots of pop too.

Aww, tysm! Hahaha don't let the artist count fool you 😭 I'm always looking for new music, no matter the genre. I love finding hidden gems. I would say I like pop, folk, anything with authentic lyrics, sometimes electronic, ambient, but then I'll listen to something from the punk/rock genre. ❤️

Yooo I just wanted to come on here and say, I remember we had a short convo in the Josiah Queen shoutbox and you said it was hard to find Christian girl pop artists or something along the lines. You might like gracie (stylized in all lowercase.) Though def not the same as her, she's a Christian artist who sort of reminds me of Olivia Rodrigo in the sense that they both make very gritty and raw breakup / love-related songs haha. She's only released one album (Miss Misfortunately) but that LP is amazing

yeah, it's technically my last real summer so I don't really want to waste it by working because you never know it may last be the last 3-month break of my life! And it honestly feels so much better than continuing the constant work after last school year!

Hopefully this long explanation gives some background info on some of these artists! Sorry if it's so long! Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande used to be my top 2 artists all-time, but I got really embarrassed a couple years back and deleted all my scrobbles of them at the time. Taylor had 14k if I recall correctly. Regret that everyday.

dang that’s sad if I had last fm since I started using Spotify I would’ve had about 10k Taylor scrobbles. I am ashamed of my past music taste too sometimes but remember liking a music artist doesn’t define who you are (unless that artist is a disgusting person and your aware of it)
