Good year for music so far. I've been particularly enjoying: Kurt Vile: "Wakin on a Pretty Daze" (currently #1 on RYM's chart: http://rateyourmusic.com/charts/top/album/2013 ) The Drones: "I See Seaweed" (Andrew's concert review: http://www.thevine.com.au/music/live-reviews/report-the-drones-brisbane-2013/ ) "Push the Sky Away" "m b v" Also, Bob Mould's recent concert tour is the best thing I've seen for many years! Are you on one of those music streaming sites? I'm on rdio.com with this username.

Hey I had a look at your profile and I love your music taste! If you're into British bands, check out these gems - This Is Seb Clarke, The Title and The Novellos. Have a listen and let me know what you think :) Do you know of similar sounding bands you could recommend to me? x

Now started on Gary Numan! That's pushed our music compatability up to max! Also Jack White's new band, the Dead Weather do a cover of 'Are Friends Electric'. I like the instrumentals but Allison Mosshart kills the vocals a bit (get it?).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuL2kvEaWrw - "Time Zone - World Destruction", suits you down to a T. Also, I'm about to start reading the "Nero Wolfe" series, but Rex Stout. I'll keep you posted, but I feel it also fits you to a T - anti-social, high functioning genius that solves crimes. He's like you...except rich and fat. I've got his whole series in PDF and audiobook, so if you want to taste a few I can always email them. I reckon you'd like em.

Mr Clarke, like Mr Moore, fills a much needed niche by providing batshit crazy content that only a select few could ever hope to possibly understand and/or enjoy. Now, I could write more, but fuck off. I don't wanna be nice, and I think it's clever to swear >;~D

"Deerhunter have garnered a reputation for their intense live shows.] Cox has worn sundresses and has performed with fake blood smeared over his face and hands, their live show being "much more savage" than their albums. In his explanation of the sundresses Cox has said, "I don't like the idea of going around stage in just jeans and a t-shirt. It seems anticlimactic." Hahaha, should be good! I've got their two other studio albums, an EP and the bonus disc that came with Microcastle for you when you come round. It's an e-ticket so you just turn up with photo ID and I collect our tickets.

Yeah sounds good, I might put some of my music on it for you, on the off chance you don't already have it! My extension is 743. Looking forward to the football and a night out sounds like a good plan too, it's been a while since I made it out. I saw watchmen today. Haha, I don't think I'm quite as much a fan as you are. Call me a prude but some of the violence was a bit OTT!

My music collection is expanding to astronomic levels, still I'm a mere solar system compared with the grand Universe of the Gex. Some new albums would be greatly appreciated. And yeh, of course I'm up for the internationals this weekend, does the pope shit in the woods?

Enjoying the new Morrissey album I presume. DC is RUBBISH without you this year. I had to download it. In fact they didn't even have the new Kanye West album on there. How's the new Pete Doherty album. I just downloaded it. About to listen now.

Hey Gex! Went to Big Day Out in Perth in the end. It was great. Saw the Arctic Monkeys and Neil Young which was amazing. I can't believe how good the Arctic Monkeys were live! I and I can reliably inform you that Neil Young is keeping on rocking in the free world. Also saw this band earlier on in the day called Birds of Tokyo who were fantastic. Check them out if you haven't already. I'm going to go see them in Brisbane with Mike, Eddie and Sam on 5th March if you're interested. Should be pretty good and it'd be cool to meet up. Hope you're all good. We're now on the last leg of our trip. In NEW ZEALAND BRO!!! Much more like England than Australia. Weather and all, it's fuckin freezing!!! Catch ya later Gex.

I've been called worse, and it's not exactly an incorrect statement, so I'll let it slide >;~). I've been going for 30-40min walks after work everyday with my shinaz new iPod, so have been powering through books like a man on fire! Managed to finally read some old classics I've always been interested in (Time Machine, Jekyll/Hyde, Holmes). Big Finish is awesome - when you get the $$$ you should sign up for the Download subscription - it was the very first thing I got with my first paycheck. And yes ladies, he's single!

Gexymungus - got a favour to ask. Not sure if you're still in/around Brissy or not, but I'm after someone to pick up my batch of funnies this month until Nickalopalis can do it. I think after 2 months they abandon the box and I last picked mine up mid-november. If not, I'll figure something out. Cheers Gexy!

"You are a worse driver than I am" "AIEEE!" Seriously though, will try to phone again but be aware: Saturday Night, 7:30pm, O'Malleys Bar. People are appearing to eat food, drink beer, and converse about the nature of life, the universe and everything.
