Fanfare for the Comic Muse is definately quite weak, but I always like to see where an artist started from. What is your favourite album by The Divine Comedy?

I am sorry please forgive my sinful behaviour. I am gonna listen to all his albums in the next few weeks to make up for it.

I just went through your RYM page out of boredom and decided to try out The Divine Comedy - wow! Can't believe I never listened to them.

I actually really enjoyed that Jonathan Bree song. I need to force myself to go back to discovering music. I am so unmotivated. I spend months creating my video games list and currently working on my movies. That helped me try out some more games / watch movies. Somehow it helps me to stubbornly rate everything more so than just randomly try out new things.

I haven't obsessed over every new thing this year like I normally do, but I'm totally obsessed with Genesis. I can listen to it while on my PC, before falling asleep, on the train and while walking outside. It's my favourite out of all the albums I've heard this year, for sure. Evans' solo trumpet album Lifeblood is also a massive statement.¶ Momentum 1: Stone is obviously intriguing and I might abstain from giving Christmas presents to relatives this year to get my hands on it. I can't wait to hear it, really. Of course there are always risks with ad hoc groups. I think I'm most looking forward to the sets with Corsano/Nilssen-Love, although Kurzmann/Lee/Rosenfeld might cook up something good. As for Vanderhmark... Man, I really should get an Instagram account so I could troll Vandermark about things like that.¶ What about you? Have you heard anything great this year?

well the American Football s/t album is as perfect of an album as there could be for the transitional period between summer and autumn that we're going through right now. my favorite actual autumn album is probably Leaves Turn Inside You or Have One On Me even though both of them could pass for winter.

Ana was good. Still have to listen to it more. All the percussion instruments on the first track gave it very Miles Davis esque feel. I haven't listened to MG50 or Anna Högberg. I think I will get MG50 next month. Högberg is hyped a lot on Swedish and international media, but I haven't checked it out.

The Peter Kuhn double album is a document from the loft era and has a great lineup (William Parker, Denis Charles). I haven't listened to it yet.¶ The Made to Break albums are a part of a new series of digital releases called "Audiographic: Systems vs. Artifacts" (not sure if you check Vandermark's instagram regularly). Digital releases of live records and more experimental stuff.¶ Summer Skyshift was fantastic. It's like Butcher and RED trio were made for eachother.¶ The Parker album features his classic quartet. It's what you would expect at this point: great rapport between Parker and Drake while Parker's approachable compositions provide plenty of room for Barnes and Brown.¶

Also, my haul from instantjazz arrived yesterday. William Parker - Ao Vivo na Jazz Fábrica, RED Trio + John Butcher - Summer Skyshift, Peter Kuhn - No Coming, No Going and Brötzmann/Parker/Drake - Song Sentimentale.

The Last Dragon by Sylvana de Mari. The cutest freakin book I've ever read, and also my favorite book since childhood. It might be a little difficult to find an english copy, but it's so worth it imo

I once listened to a Stars of The lid songs and thought it was great. Is it worth to check their discography?
