I think we may have discussed Ladyscraper before. Or maybe not but I knew you liked him, perhaps you posted a track or something. His stuff is quite periodic for me, I love him in a binge sort of way, like when you get sudden craving and can't stop listening. Never seen him live (damn this remote Nordic region) but I can imagine he'd be amazing. You're mixes are always welcomed, believe it or not but I very much enjoy listening to them. A nice breakcore mix would fit my player perfectly :)

Yes, i am aware! I hardly listen to Hip-Hop anymore except for the old classics. I don't know if it's because i'm out of touch with new stuff or if there isn't much good stuff about. It's probably a bit of both. I have enjoyed The Cool Kids, Giant Panda, Dino 5, Subtle and Mochipet as well recently.

I do like that Blue Scholars album. I think i only got it after reading your praises about it on nme.com so thanks for that.

Cheers for the Virus Syndicate album, it definitely gets a ssssssiiiiiiiiiiiiccccccccckkkkkkk/10 from me, the beats are much more focused on the bass than on the first album, which of course can only be a good thing, best grime album I've heard for a looooong time, the only thing I can see topping it is Durrty Goodz album, when he eventualy gets round to making it.

I was listening to Angerfist today because I found out my metalhead friend really likes him which I must say suprised me, that whole sound and attitude is really cliched but I just love it, I still prefer the faster, less cheesy french stuff coming out of Audiogenic, but there'll always be a space for big cheesy nu style gabber compilations like Nightmare In Rotterdam in my collection.

Hey! Yeah, long time no speak, good to hear from you though :) When it comes to Finnish dubstep, Tes La Rok is one of the biggest names around at the moment. The scene itself is still quite underground and very Helsinki/ southern Finland-centred but from what I’ve heard, the events that are organised are getting bigger and more varied in terms of locations and people involved etc. You should probably check out the webpage/myspace of Noppa Recordings, it’s (to my knowledge) the only independent Finnish dubstep label with some quite interesting artists. I don’t know how much of the stuff is available outside the Nordic countries but I can try to help you if you’re unlucky with blogs and stuff, just let me know.

Cheers, I was considering downloading some Lustmord just because of the name, from that description I really have to hear them. I feel I should recommend you something now, so if you're not familiar with Land I'd recommend checking them out, they're really epic and dark sounding neoclassical industrial ambient, or something.
