No problem. I approve of your taste. The compatibility bar is nearly completely filled up.

Couldn't help but see your conversation with stranded_here, so I reverse image searched your avatar. It's a painting by Ernst Ferdinand Oehme called "Cathedral in Winter". Awesome painting. I found some other paintings of his that were pretty cool, like this one: http://i.imgur.com/CYi9Atx.jpg

Nice library! That's an awesome profile picture too, by the way. Where's it from?

I'll get it if I can find it, thanks! Haha, musicians can be pretty untrustworthy

He certainly seemed very influenced by cIassical around the time of Let My Children Hear Music. I need to get a Mingus biography, even by jazz standards he's a fascinating and unique individual

Fun/horrific fact: Mingus played the cello before he played double bass, but he switched instruments because it would be near impossible for a black cellist to go professional in the 1930s.

hmm yes i like jazz, only started listening to a lot of it in the past few months i guess

yeah haha, what's not to love? a bunch of that listening was trying to transcribe some solos for a jazz guitar course last semester - just made me like him even more.

sup yo
