Hey Chris, we didn't find each other at Bloodstock and that sucks, but I still had a massively enjoyable time, anyway. Perhaps next year will meet up or something since now I've figured out how things work a little bit better in England and I wont be so insanely confused on everything. I'll probably be updating my blog tomorrow with a nice big review of Bloodstock with all my photos and videos I took too. Hopefully some positive words from an American who traveled a far, far distance for this thing will encourage more folks to get off their asses and come out for it. Anyway, I'm really tired, so I'll talk to you later. Hope you had a good time too. :)

Oh right. So you definitely didn't need to be recommended Fyrdsman then. xD Yeah, I'm very pleased that Winterfylleth have been announced for Bloodstock. I saw them with Wodensthrone and Sigh last night and they were fantastic. Peordh is a pretty obscure project so it might not turn up on there but keep a look out for it anyhow. The second album in particular is very good. What sort of unexplored territory have you been listening to?

thank you, I see many things on your profile which is 'mine'. I visited England 2 months ago unhappily, I haven't been on any concert... you have got it too much !

I agree about favourite Negura stuff - "Om" and "Inarborat Kosmos" for me. ;) Yeah, that Taake show will be interesting, especially because they'll play with Helheim and Vulture Industries, and I think that I actually want to see V.I. the most (it's some dark avantgarde metal, very theatrical and reminiscent of Arcturus, you should check them out!). About our metal scene... Well, it's not bad although it could've been much better as well. We have some cool shows every now and then, few bands worth paying attention to and some amount of people who really support bands and concerts. But still there's much more to do. ;)

Sorry I didn't get back to you ages ago when you commented on my profile, man. It must have been bogged down under some other things or something. I feel as though I've seen you around as well funnily enough. Must have been one of these London gigs (if, indeed, I did actually see you). Very nice taste you have here. I'll recommend Sear Bliss if you haven't heard them but you probably have. Otherwise... Peordh from America is very impressive. Not to forget Fyrdsman, a recent one man project from Britain.

Yeah, I find new Negura quite ok if I don't compare it to the old one which, in my opinion, sounded just perfect, haha. They played here few times in the past with the old line-up but I never got to see them, which I now regret, so I'll try to comfort myself with this one. ;) Same compliments go out for your taste as well! ;)

Funny way to fall asleep, I would be afraid to drop the guitar or something. It seems that a lot of people have trouble sleeping nowadays, i include myself there. Well, of course I follow my dreams, every ideology, everything started with a dream, the second part is to make it happen right? Who would have thought that someday we would be able to communicate with people from the other side of the world within seconds? Somebody dreamt that im sure. Damn you hahaha, my friends are going to bloodstock, im here though so cant go :/ but im aiming to go to the black mass in norway now so lets see how that turns out :D so how are you? excited?

answering your question, yeah it is a long way to move, i mean, ireland and brazil is not just around the corner. I moved because i had belief in something and besides, i have always wanted to study law in a country somewhere in europe. My dream initially was London but sterling made me back off, too expensive :P Yeah, London seems awesome to me, never been there but love it already. Very much my style of city somehow. Norway would be fun to go to because of friends there and stuff. Besides, the country is beautiful, of course. Any gigs? Well, Watain and Exodus in mind so far, and you? :D Festivals were canceled to me because i had to come home for the summer :/

Thanks for the insight on Birmingham, Chris. I'll definitely have to keep it in mind. Sounds like there is quite a bit to absorb around there. The more I think about it I really wish we could spend more time over there, because I just know there is going to be so much to see, but were not going to have time since our main focus is Bloodstock, but will see. I definitely have to do that Warwick castle, it just sounds to cool to pass up. Anyway, once I'm back I'll let you know what we did if you're curious. So, are you going to Bloodstock with a lot of friends or maybe just one or two friends? Just curious since my friend and I are looking for a few people to hang out with. Oh, that reminds me, are cameras allowed at Bloodstock? Nothing big, I'm just saying a little pocket digi camera is what I planned to bring. Also is it generally very hot in England around these times of the year? I'm trying to decide if I should bring my metal vest or not, hehe.

The unfortunate thing about this trip is that my friend and I will only be in England for 5 days. I would have loved to stay much longer, but my friend had some trouble getting off of work, and our weak American dollars kind of suck compared to the British pound. So, money was an unfortunate thing to have to consider right away too. Nevertheless we do plan to see some things besides the concert. Were staying in Birmingham and I recently found out about this Warwick Castle, which sounds pretty interesting, especially since I've always liked medieval stuff. Honestly I have no preconceived ideas of what England or it's people are like, but my friend was in England a few years ago and he says that he couldn't understand anyone and that the food sucks, haha. But, I have no idea if I will feel the same. I guess I'll find out soon, hehe. Otherwise I'm just curious to see the cultural difference and stuff like that. Should be interesting. Can't wait.

Thanks, Chris, really glad you like the tattoo sleeve and my photography. Well, to answer your question they were all taken in Wisconsin, USA, which is where I live. I've been here my entire life and while it's not really the most exciting place to live I guess I feel somewhat stuck since my friends and family are all here. Personally I'd love to live somewhere in Europe, but I'm not sure if that will ever happen. Would be killer though. So, it will be fun to visit England soon and see what things are like there.

Wow, you never visited Ireland? im from brazil and have lived here nearly 2 years hahaha, yeah, travelling is loads of fun, considering checking on london and norway as soon as i can which means i will have to find time to go in september. Yeah, I change my picture quite often at time plus yes, I am a big fan of arts and photography. I would love to have a great camera to do it better but until that day comes, I give it a bit of improvising :)

Oh yeah, haha, I'll be there for sure. Headbanging, singing along and what not. Can't wait to be honest. It will be my first time seeing Amorphis and they are more or less my favorite band. So, hopefully it will be awesome, heh. Oh, and glad you like that quote, hehe. It's a good one. There's so many profile lurkers on here I figured I'd put something on my profile to perhaps provoke people to be more chatty instead of just stalking around like creeps, hehe. It works, sometimes, haha.

Hey, I know we don't know each other, but I'm certain you will appreciate my music, according to what you like on here. You may have heard of my other band Vision Eternel, however this is for my new band: Soufferance, Vision. The debut full-length was just released on Valse Sinistre, and I think you would really enjoy it. You can find out more info on the myspace: http://www.myspace.com/soufferance. you can also email me at soufferance@gmail.com

oh, i havent heard from that place yet, first time i guess. Well, I live in dublin, 20 min from the city center actually, I just find it hard to find people around the uk who will appreciate the same music like, not that im judgemental with that, just hard to find nowadays :)

Yes she is. :) Hehe, glad you enjoyed the video. ^^ As for your appreciation of '2 Unlimited', that is pretty much what caught my attention when I heard in the first place. Then I started enjoying the electro-goth elements with subsequent listens and the lyrics are worth the detour. Although at time humorous, they are not as joyful as one might think. Anyway, give it time but I think you are on the right track to becoming a fan. :P With '342', you might have guessed while listening to the 2 free tracks that PUWD went through a different route/approach in comparison with '2 Unlimited'. But in such a good way! Asphodel's vocals (clean, growls, shrieks, impersonation (child, animé, pig ^^), and a multitude of other unimaginable sounds) are even wilder, Alexis' growls are meaner, and the music is even tighter, more mellow/melodic, aggressive at times, prog, and even more all over the place than their previous release. A very good and solid album that takes the listener by surprise.

You also have good tastes! 0: I see you're going to see Ihsahn, I've only listened briefly to his music--though I will be seeing him in Germany the 5th or the 6th, not too sure. Hohum, good question about recommendations..Uhm, you seem to like brooding music too..I'll recommend bands from my province, haha. Du black métal québécoise xP Miserere Luminis, Gris, Sombres Forêts, Csejthe And if oyu don't like it then I'd recommend..post-black metal..like coldworld, Lantlos, Black Autumn... -shrug- Enjoy, I suppose.

Admittedly, it does take a bit of getting used to. So yeah, no problem at all, just take your time. Not sure what parts of '2 Unlimited' impressed you but Asphodel's vocal prowesses are one of the many reasons why I love PUWD's music. If you want to have a glimpse of her talent check this a capella version of Intrusion. Just a glimpse of what she can do with her voice. ;) Gives me shivers. ^^

Seeing that you were listening to Pin-up Went Down you are more than welcome to join our group, [group]Pin Up Went Down (France)[/group], if you would like to support the band. :) They are also offering 2 tracks for free download from their new ‘342’ album here. Happy listening!

Yeah, Dordeduh is made up of two of the guys formerly from Negrua Bunget, there was a falling out in the clan. I'm a bit jealous of Spotify...it's looks very cool but not yet available in the states. Nox Arcana are great...see if you can find any Midnight Syndicate instead, it's a similar duo with one common member. Sigh's albums are all a bit different from each other, but I do like "Scenes from Hell" quite a bit. It took me several months to warm up to it, though. Glad you liked Arkona, I'm very impressed with that band. And from what I've read the singer also writes the songs, which is kind of unusual.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to Dordeduh's full length...the last Negură Bunget didn't really win me over the their new camp (I thought it was OK)...but the re-recorded version of Maiestrit was great. One of my last.fm friends sent me a link to a free download of music by the guy who plays pipes on their albums...it was pretty cool.

oh yes! can't wait to see them either. they played about 2 weeks ago in bucharest but it was so far that i couldn't be bothered to go to that gig. for the past weeks i've been a proper housewife - cleaning, cooking, washing etc. the best part is that i can actually bake cakes which is pretty cool. how were your final exams? any job offers atm? btw..if u can go see alex today just do that cos he's cut his hand pretty badly one hour ago or so :(
