the weekend is over, and no traumatic photos have emerged, so i'm in the clear, haha. i've never watched how i met your mother, but i hear good things about it. i should really make a list of shit to watch, then start tackling it, one show at a time. maybe over break i'll go into hibernation to make some headway. do you realize that you're a total freakazoid for not liking chinese food?! i would literally kill another human being to get some orange chicken right now, good god. i really don't like this time of year, with the shorter days and all. i feel like i have even less time to get shit done, which stresses me out way more, blech. tonight, i've gotta finish my god-awful website for 4D and i'm not looking forward to it at all. let's try to crank this out, huh?

haha aww. we should try to video chat! i'll show you some of my art and this crazy stuffed animal that i reassembled with new parts last night (that's what we did at a friend's party). sleeping on couches usually sucks. i'm pretty sure i can fall asleep anywhere at anytime as long as i'm sleepy enough. you need some sleep practice, i think. then you'll be all set. wow, this one was short...

oh man, i signed off to restart my computer. it was installing some updates, but then it took forever (it's done this at least three times now, i think something's wrong because i even let it sit overnight and it didn't make any progress) so i just manually restarted it...then i realized i had to run off to drawing class. lately, my drawings haven't been so hot. i was on fire during the first few weeks, and i'm still really interested, but my drawings don't let me in the way they did in the beginning. i think i'm going to start drawing people whenever i ride the BART and stuff. all i have to do is establish myself as the craziest person on the train, then no one will ask questions. it'll help me to feel less awkward when i have to photograph people too. usually, i just try to be clandestine about it, but the best shots are when you connect to the person...sometimes...eh. what happened since the last time you thought you got engineering? you should go to art school! no room!!!

I got a slow start today, but only because I stayed up until 3AM (again). I'm going to sleep before 2 tonight...this morning? I don't blame you for not going to class, I probably wouldn't either. My roommate has begun ditching, but I haven't yet. My classes are still more fun than I would have sitting in my room, although, I can totally lose track of time watching these episodes. Now I remember I had seen the first two episodes a zillion years ago on tv, I guess I just never kept up with it. You are now on my buddy list. My AIM is t3chnicolorbritt. Wow, you're going to send a second thing, and I still don't have stamps. I really suck. I'll get some tomorrow. Maybe I should utilize the post-it note and make a to-do list (a second one, rather). If I don't have a list, I'm useless. The other day, I chose my classes for next semester. I'm going to take color photography, history of photography, 2D, 3D, and physics. i hope it's funnnn!

i told myself that i'm not allowed to watch anything until i finish my homework, which was about 4 hours ago, hahaha, so my roommate is watching the episodes on her mac. if i were you, i'd chug some redbull and drive home tonight, but that's because i don't typically wake up with alarms :) if you're well-disciplined in those matters, then maybe a full night's sleep is better? have you seen ironman already? i liked it a lot. robert downey jr was great for the role, probably because it wasn't much of a stretch from his real personality, haha.

facebook has games?! since when? clearly, i'm not hip enough for this. i usually avoid most of the ridiculous apps they offer, but i have a set of my own ridiculous apps :) i waste waaaay too much time on the internet. i was up at 2:30AM, for no reason last night. i don't know why i do these things.

nope, i just wrote on my own wall. let's see if i do it this time :) the whole time i was thinking, "damn we usually post back and forth a few times each day, i guess grant's busy..." hahaha! what class was that? i wish i was in italy! did you say "hello" or "ciao?" now that i think about it, i'm not sure that my video chat has worked with any PCs. ichat just uses your aim name. it might be able to use other messengers, but i'm not sure. abby visited for almost a week and it was glorious. we ran around san francisco and we did make it to the golden gate bridge. let me see if i can show you a photo. there's lots of fun stuff to see in the city. we also used the same expired transfer ticket for every bus ride the entire day (yeeeesssss!), so it was nice and cheep. i didn't sleep through the test, and i may have made it my bitch :) we'll see if that's true. we're allowed to leave when we finish, so i got out 30 minutes early. which test did you fail?

FUCK, I DID IT AGAIN. i wrote this yesterday or the day before on my wall: i've never used skype, but my friend danny always tells me to do it so we can video chat. i usually just do it over ichat, but it doesn't always work with pcs. did you ever go back to the movies? i'll look up nick and nora's theme. right now, i'm only half conscious because a friend from high school is visiting and we stayed out late in the drawing studio until 2am. now, i'm trying to coordinate a route from a bart station in sf to the golden gate bridge, to haight-ashbury. i want to go back to bed. gaaahh, and i have my second art history test today! i hope i don't fall asleep in the middle of it. that room is soo warm and dark, it's pretty much made for sleeping...

A real life and money, I don't think I'll be seeing either of those for the next four years...maybe a glimpse here or there...hopefully. 4D is art concerned with time and space, so more of the installation/film/video/performance aspect of art and how it impacts society. it's pretty interesting. the fake id isn't just going to be a card, but a quest into defining oneself. i'm not sure exactly what i'm going to do for it yet, so that's kind of scary. is your arm feeling any better today? i think i'm going to make myself a berkeley id so i can ride the buses for free i was in class and the photo lab during the debate so i missed most of it. hahaha, here you go: did anything constructive happen or was it mostly schoolyard banter? political arguments aren't my thing either. i'm pretty open to various ideas, or at least willing to consider an opposing viewpoint. you don't learn very much if you're not willing to listen first. i'll have to check out that album. the spider is pretty cool, but it takes some getting used to. i want a ride on that elephant! i have a stuffed elephant on my bed, haha. your workload does not sound fun at all and i pity you very much :( art history was pretty boring today since we focused on gauguin (who was interesting because he was kind of strange, but which artist isn't?)... i have 4D in five minutes and we're going to make alternate ego fake IDs, so that's neat. we're also talking about how the introduction of the camera changed perception of the world. it's kind of cool, kind of trippy. tendinitis is a bummer. i've never had it. what does it feel like? i hope you get better soon! i don't feel like you type too much, it lets me type a lot in response :) i usually feel like i type too much, so it's oddly comforting that you do too, haha. gotta run to class!

Crazy Brits, indeed :) I gueeeeessss the spider thing was cool, but couldn't it have been something less terrifying, like a koala bear? i like stripey shirts. i have this great sweater with brown and really dark brown stripes that i found in the boy section of american eagle and i wear it all of the time. homework is laaaame. I'm reading about post impressionism and symbolism right now and it's kind of slow. ratatat is badass, you should check them out! they're good for drawing, reading, writing, relaxing...everything really.

I've seen those before! Macro photography has actually soooooort of helped me to just begin to get over my completely irrational fear of gross bugs. Those bug photos are disgusting, but glorious.

oh man, i looove macro photography. i like to do a lot of it, myself. there are some badass lenses out there. i have a 60mm if that means anything to you, haha. i change my facebook picture maybe once every two months. it's getting to that time. i need to change it now, but i don't have any new photos.
